You'll work closely with stakeholders across Capital Delivery, Digital Technology and our supply chain, building trusted relationships and ensuring our information systems support successful project delivery.

Alongside leading the team, you'll provide strategic oversight of our project information platforms, shaping their roadmap, driving innovation, and ensuring they remain secure, effective and fit for the future. You'll also act as the key relationship owner with our technology partners and vendors, ensuring we maximise value from our systems and continue to evolve our Information Management capabilities.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Setting clear objectives, supporting professional development and empowering team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Building strong relationships with project teams, senior leaders, digital teams and external partners to understand business needs and deliver outstanding service.
  • Creating a service-led environment that ensures user queries are resolved effectively, SLAs are achieved, and customer satisfaction remains high.
  • Ensuring our project lifecycle information ecosystem is intuitive, scalable, adaptable and secure for all capital projects.
  • Owning vendor relationships and service performance, holding suppliers accountable and driving continual improvement.
  • Translating business requirements into practical system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Overseeing system governance, administration, licensing and access management.
  • Monitoring system usage, performance and value to identify opportunities for optimisation and commercial benefit.
  • Managing risks, issues and controls while delivering targeted improvement plans.
  • Assessing technology roadmaps to ensure our solutions remain aligned with future business needs.
  • Championing innovation and identifying opportunities to adopt new technologies and modern ways of working.
  • Leading training, knowledge sharing and capability development across the wider organisation.
  • Working closely with Information Management, Digital Design and project delivery teams to improve integration, BIM adoption and information standards.
  • Representing United Utilities with industry groups, technology partners and professional networks.

What You'll Bring:

You'll be a confident leader who combines strong people management skills with technical credibility.

You'll have:

  • Proven experience leading, coaching and developing specialist technical teams.
  • A passion for people leadership, creating inclusive, engaged and high-performing team cultures.
  • Demonstrable experience managing performance, supporting career development and successfully leading change.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience managing suppliers and holding vendors accountable for service performance and outcomes.
  • A strong technical background or understanding of project information lifecycle systems, including Common Data Environments (ProjectWise, Bentley Infrastructure Cloud or similar).
  • Experience applying information management standards within complex project environments.
  • A service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering excellent user experiences.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear business-focused messages.
  • A results-driven approach with experience managing KPIs, SLAs and continuous improvement initiatives.
