This exciting entry-level position is perfect for someone starting their sustainability career journey or transitioning from another field with a passion for environmental impact. You'll bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to our team while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a global travel company that's serious about making a difference.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of TUI's sustainability journey, turning bold ambitions into real-world impact. You'll help drive our environmental and social initiatives forward, working with teams across our cruise operations to create measurable change that matters.
From encouraging eco-friendly practices among colleagues to developing innovative sustainability projects, you'll play a vital part in ensuring we travel responsibly. You'll collaborate with everyone from customers to crew and suppliers, inspiring sustainable behaviours that make a genuine difference.
The role will be published until 29th October.
*You will be required to work in either our Luton or Southampton office on average one day per week.

ABOUT THE JOB
- You'll support our Sustainability Manager in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, targets and policies that align with industry best practices and regulations.
- We'll rely on you to plan and execute engaging communications that raise awareness of our sustainability initiatives among colleagues, passengers, crew and external stakeholders.
- Managing and monitoring key sustainability metrics will be a core part of your role, including data collection, analysis and creating insightful reports.
- You'll conduct research on environmental trends, regulations and emerging practices to support strategic decisions on topics like alternative fuels, future regulations and energy efficiency technologies.
- Working closely with various departments across Marella Cruises, you'll ensure sustainability is integrated into all business areas by providing advice, toolkits and training.
- Your initiatives will support resource reduction onboard our ships and drive continuous sustainable improvement across operations, from water consumption to food and plastic waste management.
ABOUT YOU
- Developed knowledge and understanding of sustainability challenges and solutions, with an interest in the cruise or travel industry.
- Detail-oriented approach and accurate data handling skills enable you to undertake high-quality analysis and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, you can confidently work with multiple stakeholders while maintaining diplomacy and integrity.
- Bring motivation and a helpful approach to your work, with the passion to advocate for sustainability and inspire others.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, is complemented by an eagerness to learn new digital tools.
- Communicate effectively through various channels, with the ability to critically review and research technical topics.
- Have relevant knowledge and/or education in sustainability, geography, environmental science, or other related fields with transferable skills.
