Job Description

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you’ll work in a cross-functional and international team in full-remote.

You will work on cutting-edge technologies to design, scale, and maintain Frontend applications using mainly VueJS.

You will be a valuable team member of TUI, the No.1 global and socially aware travel company. TUI Musement operates in over 115 destinations, offering opportunities to develop yourself by working as part of a unique context.

You will be in the TUI Musement Offer/Supply unit working in a new service that manages contracts and suppliers, inserted in a microservice context.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • You will be a key part of a team that owns all phases of the product development life cycle, from conception to delivery to customers.
  • You will be required to collaborate with backend software engineers, devOps, architects, UI designer, QA and product managers to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
  • You’ll develop high-quality frontend code with a strong focus on automated testing.
  • You’ll participate in code reviews to guarantee high software quality standards and consistency across the codebase.
  • You’ll participate actively in our Agile ceremonies to plan sprints, estimate tasks, and continuously improve our methodology.
  • You will report to the Engineering Manager.

ABOUT YOU

  • Significant experience in a similar role and tech context.
  • An engineer with a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;
  • Experience with Single Page Application development using modern tools (we use Typescript Vue, Nuxt and Vite, but you could come from other tech stack)
  • Familiarity with package management and frontend tooling ecosystems.
  • Essential knowledge of HTTP, and other protocols for web applications.
  • Experienced with REST API implementation or design and deep understanding of Open API specifications.
  • Product engineer mindset: good understanding of the entire product development process (design, development, and deployment).
  • Experienced on debugging issues with clear thinking process and tackling the root cause.
  • Experienced on working in an Agile team.
  • Understands the importance of security. Utilizes this knowledge to ask more expert engineers for help on making decisions that may have security implications.
  • Sizes tasks appropriately, considering prioritization, estimation and dependencies, by delivering small features in small batches that are relevant for the customer.
  • Experience and understanding of the importance of the CI/CD, with features flagging, and actively contributing to improving its implementation.
  • Awareness of the testing pyramids and writing testable code which includes edge cases.
  • Familiarity working with AWS cloud solutions (S3, Cloudfront) is a plus.
