Job Description

Join our Operations Team in Sydney as Port Delivery Agent - Staff Planning. In this role, you will be mainly responsible for scheduling in staff members for our cruise ship turnaround days. Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services is a specialist business providing cruise ship handling services to cruise lines in destinations throughout the world. You will be working closely with various cruise lines and their clients in their daily operations around Australia.

This is a Sydney based role but may present an opportunity to travel to some exciting destinations within the country. This is a locally employed position. You must have the right to live and work in Australia before applying.

ABOUT YOU

  • Have a methodical, organized approach towards the execution of assigned tasks with a high level of accuracy.
  • The ability to use MS Office tools such as Excel, Teams, OneNote & Outlook to high standards.
  • Solve problems independently and/or make suggestions how to improve ways of working.
  • A genuinely helpful, flexible, and professional personality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English is required.
  • Previous experience in travel/tourism is advantageous.


ABOUT THE JOB

  • Assist with the recruitment and training of staff to successfully provide turnaround services to cruise line clients.
  • Accurately prepare and publish turnaround day schedules with daily ongoing focus to ensure accurate run sheets.
  • Act as point of contact for all staff in relation to questions/enquiries/suggestions etc.
  • Assist with terminal walk-through and first shift orientation for new staff.
  • Maintain staff database with accurate and updated information.
  • Occasional after hours point of contact for staff (late night/early morning/weekend texts).
  • General office procedures – data entry, post turnaround reporting, developing spreadsheets, answering phone calls, taking messages for departmental managers etc.
  • Overseeing unclaimed/lost luggage and attempting to reunite with rightful owner.
  • Maintain lost luggage database with accurate information on outcomes.
  • Work closely with International and Domestic Courier Companies to have luggage delivered and ensure all paperwork is correctly completed.
  • Assist Turnaround Team with the planning, preparation and delivery of turnaround services for cruise line clients.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to cruise guests during the check-in and boarding process on Ovation of the Seas turnaround days (and other ships, as required).
  • Ensure a smooth run of operations by assisting with the supervision and coaching of staff during a turnaround to ensure positive outcomes are achieved for all parties involved.

We also offer services to cruise lines through Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services in ports worldwide. TUI Musement sold around 10 million excursions, tours and activities delivered by our international colleagues located around the world and is one of the major growth areas of TUI Group.
