Hotel Maintenance Manager

Job Description

Join TUI Hotels & Resorts as Facility Maintenance Managerin our TT Hotels Croatia business located in TUI BLUE Adriatic, Živogošće, Croatia. You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring technical compliance, maintaining facility upkeep, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all systems and equipment.

All applicants must be fluent in both English and Croatian. Due to work permit restrictions, applicants must be from a European Union country.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Directly manages maintenance department staff, including scheduling, time tracking, and labour cost control
  • Authorizes overtime when necessary and oversees annual leave planning
  • Identifies causes of electrical and mechanical faults and leads repair efforts
  • Supervises external contractors performing routine and emergency maintenance across all installations, equipment, and structural components
  • Performs regular inspections in line with the preventive maintenance plan to ensure operational efficiency
  • Implements and manages all preventive maintenance and repair activities related to steam, gas, and water systems
  • Maintains records in accordance with legal regulations, health & safety requirements, and environmental audits
  • Oversees and maintains tools, hotel/campsite equipment, and inventory
  • Records maintenance work and material use in a daily logbook for management review
  • Ensures upkeep of hotel/campsite interiors and exteriors
  • Maintains valid certifications, insurance policies, licenses, and documentation in line with Croatian laws and regulations
  • Keeps track of service needs, equipment procurement, spare part inventory, and warranty periods
  • Analyses operational data (e.g. operating hours, energy usage, water pressure, generator status) to identify improvements and support efficiency
  • Ensures all maintenance-related procurements meet standards of quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Promotes energy-saving initiatives and implements approved efficiency programs
  • Maintains and updates technical/project documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned by superiors or the employer

ABOUT YOU

  • High school diploma or vocational qualification (SSS)
  • Minimum of three years of experience in maintaining hotel systems
  • Strong analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Category B driving license
