Job Description

As Regulations Lead, you will act as the compliance & regulations specialist and provide leadership and coordination across Ground Operations regulatory compliance, manuals, and internal training activities. This role ensures that TUI Airline maintains an outstanding portfolio of compliant processes and procedures, aligned with EASA, IATA, IOSA, and other regulatory requirements. You will act as the primary point of contact for regulatory matters within Ground Operations, driving consistency, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the team. You will manage and support the implementation of the new EASA & UK CAA Ground Handling Regulation, to ensure we are compliant with this new regulation both as an airline and ground handler.

We are happy to consider this role on a hybrid working model basis in line with local office attendance and/or business requirements (whichever is higher). Regular monthly travel should be expected between our Airline AOC office location and/or major airport bases.

Applications close 17 Sept 2026

ABOUT OUR OFFER

  • Personal benefits: Attractive remuneration, generous travel benefits, extensive health & well-being support, and more
  • Flexible working: Work is something you do, not somewhere you go. We encourage a healthy work-life balance with a dynamic working environment
  • A career to shape: Access the TUI Learning Hub to level-up and reach your ambitions
  • Broaden your network: We champion intercultural collaboration and provide opportunities to work on global projects and teams
  • Community: Get involved with incredible local charity and sustainability initiatives like the TUI Care Foundation

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Lead and develop a small team of subject matter experts responsible for regulations, manuals, and training, allocating priorities and resources to ensure timely delivery of compliance objectives whilst coaching and mentoring team members to build expertise and resilience
  • Act as the senior subject matter expert for Ground Ops and ground Handling regulations, providing strategic advice to management
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on Ground Operations processes, ensuring Ground Operations Manuals (GOM/GHM/IPM) remain compliant and up to date
  • Represent Ground Ops in regulatory forums and maintain strong relationships with authorities (EASA, IATA, NAA)
  • Represent Ground Ops in internal meetings and maintain a strong relationship with Ground Ops Nominated Persons and AOC compliance, safety and security departments
  • Manage Ground Ops oversight performance data. Analyse trends and escalate/present data to relevant responsible managers
  • Oversee internal & external audits and ensure closure of non-compliance findings driving standardisation and simplification of processes across all TUI Airlines
  • Maintain and improve the departmental quality system (DQS) and ensure adherence to internal procedures
  • Support with IOSA revalidation audits as and when required
  • Oversee Ground Ops training programmes and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards, supporting the development of engaging training content and maintain digital training libraries
  • Act as the interface between Ground Ops and Safety, Compliance & Security teams, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and continuous improvement

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience in Ground Operations with strong regulatory knowledge (EASA, IATA, IOSA)
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and audit processes
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Strong business English (spoken and written); international travel will be required
