Accommodation Sourcing is a global team within TUI technology responsible for all IT related work and systems around the sourcing of accommodations / hotel rooms. We are a multi-disciplinary team of experts across Architecture, Engineering, DevOps and Agile Delivery providing services across the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands.

The Business Analyst is a critical thinker with a keen eye for detail. Actively consulting with stakeholders, probing to create and communicate a common understanding of the problem that needs solving. Working within a fast-paced agile environment, the Business Analyst thinks outside of the box, loves collaborating across teams and is a lifelong learner.

The Business Analyst in the IT Ops team is a primarily technical role. A general technical understanding of data exchange via APIs is required as well as reading and working with technical data exchange formats. Capable to support your team with efficient incident handling and quick reaction to production problems performing a deep analysis of the data flow between different services as well as providing accurate relevant information to the technical teams to support the incident resolution is one of the core tasks for the Business Analyst. For this role you should anticipate participating in a paid 24/7 on-call duty every four weeks.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • As a Business Analyst, you are part of a cross-functional team that enables swift resolution of critical issues, ensuring the stability and efficiency of our operations while collaborating seamlessly with different departments. Promptly addressing and supporting the resolution of any disruption that arise within the Accommodation Sourcing technical components.

  • You will collaborate with other business analysts, product owners, data analysts, technology leads, delivery manager, software developers, business partners and tech experts to stablish clear protocols for incident detection, response and resolution.

  • You’re responsible for evaluating solution options, consulting with stakeholders as needed to define and articulate business needs in a way that enables the delivery of technical solutions that add value across TUI global platforms and services.

  • You use your deep understanding of TUI products and systems, business models, processes, data flows and their link to business capabilities to plan and deliver high quality business analysis that supports the ongoing delivery of growth and digital transformation across our key markets.

  • As a Business Analyst you distil the needs of business and using your strong collaboration skills you support your team to deliver the best solutions to our customers’ needs.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen. Adept at understanding complex problems and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders to reduce the impact on business operations.
  • Collaborative approach, able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and facilitate agreement across multiple markets in a global structure.
  • Experience creating, analysing and validating detailed functional specifications and elements of systems design; including data rules, business rules, wireframes or other detailed deliverables that articulate how a business need should be satisfied.
  • Strong professional experience and detailed knowledge of information and communication technologies.
  • Good Knowledge of technical data exchange formats like JSON, XML and YAML.
  • Experience with technical API-technologies like REST and SOAP and corresponding tools like Postman.
  • Familiar with database queries (SQL), micro service architecture.
  • Desirable AWS services knowledge.
  • Familiar with monitoring systems (Datadog & Kibana).
  • Good understanding of system processes and contexts.
  • Pronounced/high-level quality awareness.
  • Very good organisational and problem-solving ability.
  • Premium customer-oriented attitude and of course a lot of enthusiasm for resolving IT issues. You are the first point of contact for all IT issues.
  • Open minded, inquisitive, life-long learner.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, highly autonomous
