Airline Finance is a function within our airline organisation responsible for supporting the business to ensure accurate and timely reporting of actuals, forecasts, and budgets; and business partnering the Aviation Planning department and Tour Operator. The Finance function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.

Airpas is the key source of information for a significant amount of variable DOC’s costs within the Airline. We make sure that the Airpas output is complete, on time and easily accessible for all our internal customers. The aim is to make use of the ‘TUI All’ set up as an end-to-end solution, from booking all invoices in one central location (Golden Source) to the data output.

As, Airpas Technical Specialist your focus will be to ensure all contract rates and master data are managed and maintained within ‘TUI All’ ensuring that the quality of the data is fit for purpose and available for Budget and Forecasting purposes.

In this role, you’ll report to the Finance Manager, Airpas Contract Rate Maintenance & Statistics.

ABOUT THE JOB

As Airpas Technical Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

• Responsible for making sure that all Contract Rates utilized within ‘TUI All’ are managed, maintained, applying ‘best practice’ method and that the data quality is fit for purpose for use across TUI Airline.
• You will manage and maintain rates across several metrics including Fuel, Ground Handling, Airport Fees and Overflying within ‘TUI All’.
• Responsible for making sure that all Cost Elements within TUI All including “Add on Tables” are maintained and that the data is accurate.
• You will play a key role within Airpas team in identifying future opportunities to expand and develop other cost elements for input into TUI All for the benefit of TUI Airline.
• Responsible for analyzing the Airpas data within TUI All to check that everything is accurate and complete, working closely with the wider Airpas team to communicate any risks or concerns.
• You will provide support to the invoice checking team to make sure that the end-to-end process is complete, and that errors or issues are raised.
• Support the Finance Manager by collecting and aligning Statistics and Master Data between local clients and master client (TUI All) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of calculations.
• Ensuring that all statistics used for Budget & Forecasting purposes are accurately managed for data quality purposes.
• Responsible in making sure that the alignment between local Airpas systems and TUI All is accurate to provide confidence when utilising TUI All for Budget and Forecasting purposes.
• Support the delivery of the broader ‘One Airpas’ Project Roadmap, to enable the future transition towards our Airpas Target Operating Model, a key enabler for Budget and Forecasting.
• Support the delivery where and when required on Month End activities and requirements for the wider TUI Airline community.
• From time to time, you may be required to represent the wider Airpas Team for input into key stakeholder forums and meetings.
• Supporting the Finance Managers within the Airpas team to deliver against all identified TUI Airline Finance objectives and projects.
• Build and develop robust internal and external stakeholder relationships and ways of working that allows for efficient delivery, high performance, and continuous improvement.
• Embrace and input into the wider Airpas strategy when required to ensure the requirements for our source markets, customers and airline are met and that you are aligned to the wider vision.
• Pioneering TUI Airline Spirit behaviours and working practices in ensuring the adoption and delivery of the four themes across the Airpas team and the broader TUI Airline Finance community.

ABOUT YOU

• Logical and analytical approach to working with large data sets and a good eye for detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint including creating meaningful and engaging presentations.
• Knowledge of Tableau or other data management systems is a plus.
• Diligent worker with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to use own initiative to problem-solve.
• Ability to shape and change processes with a can-do, positive attitude.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
• Preferably the applicant will have good knowledge of Airpas system and experience working with the system.
• Proven experience working in Finance/Commercial is a plus.
• Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel.
