Chapter Lead - Digital
Job Description
As a Chapter Lead, you'll focus more on how we work than what we deliver. You'll lead, inspire and develop colleagues within your chapter, ensuring they are deployed to the right squads to maximise both customer outcomes and colleague growth. As a servant leader, you'll foster a culture of learning, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, while supporting hiring, onboarding and capability development.
You'll also remain hands-on in a squad, applying and developing your own expertise while acting as a recognised leader in your craft across Tesco Mobile.
Importantly, as our capability continues to grow and mature, the scope of this role may evolve over time. While the chapter currently spans a broad range of disciplines, future growth may lead to greater specialisation, with Chapter Leads focusing on a more defined area of expertise while increasing their depth of mastery, leadership and influence within that discipline.
As a Chapter Lead, you will play a leading role in building and evolving world-class capabilities across Tesco Mobile. You will define standards and ways of working that enable teams to deliver customer-led, data-driven outcomes, while supporting the continued growth, development and success of colleagues within your chapter.
- Leading, inspiring and developing colleagues within your chapter, creating an environment that supports learning, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Acting as a recognised expert in your discipline, providing leadership, guidance and subject matter expertise across Tesco Mobile.
- Defining and evolving standards, methodologies, tooling and ways of working to improve delivery and maximise business value.
- Building chapter capability through coaching, mentoring and the development of colleagues.
- Creating a strong chapter community that promotes collaboration, best practice and continuous learning.
- Empowering colleagues to reach their full potential through effective leadership, performance management and development.
- Supporting the colleague lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, performance management and capability development.
- Allocating colleagues to squads to maximise customer outcomes, business value and individual growth opportunities.
- Contributing to chapter strategy and supporting its successful execution across the organisation.
- Maintaining a strong focus on business priorities, ensuring teams deliver customer and commercial outcomes.
- Remaining an active member of a squad, applying expertise and supporting the delivery of strategic initiatives and improvements.
- Driving alignment across squads and sharing learnings, best practice and improvements across the wider chapter.
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of digital experience, digital trading and ecommerce performance.
- Experience using data, analytics, experimentation and personalisation to drive customer and commercial outcomes.
- Strong understanding of customer-centric App and Web experiences, including UX/UI and accessibility best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
- A servant leadership mindset with a track record of developing colleagues and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial awareness and experience delivering against business goals.
