We are therefore looking for a highly motivated real estate professional to join the team as Senior Manager, Investments & Transactions.
In this role, you will play a central part in evaluating, structuring and executing strategic real estate transactions globally. You will work across acquisitions, dispositions, lease-versus-own decisions, development opportunities and sale-and-leaseback transactions, while supporting the continued commercialization and optimization of Maersk's real estate portfolio.
The role provides a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of corporate real estate, investments and strategy within one of the world's largest logistics companies.
In IRE you will be part of a global team of real estate professionals, but you will be based in the HQ team located in Copenhagen but will equally be working with the other real estate colleagues across the globe.
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Investments & Capital Markets
- Lead financial underwriting and investment analysis for acquisitions, developments, disposals and sale-and-leaseback transactions globally.
- Develop and maintain financial models supporting lease-versus-own decisions, investment proposals and portfolio optimization initiatives.
- Evaluate capital deployment opportunities across the global real estate portfolio and provide recommendations on investment prioritization.
- Support development of Maersk's commercial real estate ownership strategy, including PropCo-related initiatives and alternative ownership structures.
- Drive preparation of investment committee papers, executive presentations and business cases.
Transactions
- Lead end-to-end execution of strategic real estate transactions across the portfolio.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders throughout transaction processes, including Legal, Tax, Treasury, Accounting and external advisors.
- Manage due diligence processes, transaction structuring, negotiations and closings.
- Support establishment of transaction governance frameworks and approval processes.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor developments in industrial and logistics real estate markets globally.
- Analyze market trends, rents, valuations, investment activity and capital market developments.
- Maintain relationships with external advisors, developers, investors, brokers and industry participants.
- Provide market intelligence and benchmarking to support strategic decision-making.
Who we are looking for
- Minimum 10 years of real estate experience in the industrial and logistics category. Cross-border experience in a client, developer, investor or agency role would be beneficial.
- Capital markets transaction management experience with ability to: negotiate commercial terms, undertake due diligence and close transactions in line with corporate policies
- Strong knowledge of investment valuation and financial
+ investment analysis techniques incl. advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities. - Experience evaluating acquisitions, developments, disposals and sale-and-leaseback opportunities
- A finance or business-related education and/or a real estate related degree/designation like MRICS.
- Ability to assess complex commercial, financial and operational considerations.
