What you'll build

You are going to support the leader of a large community with developing tools to automate processes and managing the community. The mission of the community is to improve developer experience, quality of products and productivity of developers by fostering collaboration across the company on improving tools, technologies, practices, knowledge sharing and culture.

Tasks:

• Supporting the community lead on reoccurring tasks
• Independent takeover of technical tasks after consultation with the architect
• Automation of reoccurring tasks
• Communication with speakers
• Event organization
• Moderation of events if the main moderator is not available
• Managing content on different platforms (MSTeams, GitHub, Slack)
• Python development to maintain and improve tools for automating community processes

What you bring

• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or Business Informatics
• Commercial Software Development
• Ability to solve complex topics and drive results
• Self-driven and proactive mindset
• Excellent team player and collaboration skills
• Good communication skills
• Fluency in English language (both written and spoken)
• Working from Walldorf office is required at least once a week
• Understanding of key AI concepts and interest in emerging technologies.

The Developer Experience team within Engineering & Technology Operations for SAP sets the direction on how SAP will be developing enterprise software in future and thus is pivotal for SAP’s development strategy. It’s on the team to provide our global development organization with the best-possible environment to collaboratively deliver the world's #1 enterprise applications to customers. The team’s success is rooted on a strong collaboration with stakeholders across the board at SAP as well as with industry partners such as Google, GitHub and Microsoft and world-renown academic partners.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
