What you'll build

Join a high-paced, cross-functional team within SAP Learning dedicated to revolutionizing how we create educational content. You will help build and maintain an internal, LLM-powered suite of tools that empowers our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to produce world-class learning materials for over 3 million learners worldwide.

In this role, you aren’t just "helping out"—you are building the infrastructure that ensures our enablement content remains cutting-edge and always up-to-date.

What You’ll Do

• Architect AI Solutions: Design and implement Generative AI workflows, moving beyond simple prompts to build robust, production-ready tools
• Agentic Workflows: Develop and optimize AI Agents and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems to automate complex content creation tasks
• Innovate at Scale: Work directly on LLM-powered features involving language, vision, and voice to scale content for millions of users on learning.sap.com
• Bridge the Gap: Partner with SMEs to reverse-engineer professional workflows and translate them into automated, intelligent features
• Optimize: Improve our services by applying prompt engineering ant latency optimization best practices

Your Tech Toolkit

We believe in using the best tools for the job. You will work with:

• Generative AI: Hands-on development with LLMs (GPT-4, Gemini, Claude), AI Agents, and orchestration frameworks
• Cloud Infrastructure: Engineering within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging Vertex AI and multimodal models
• Enterprise Platforms: Deploying scalable internal tools using the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

What you bring

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science or a related technical field
• Background in AI research, with a preference for candidates who have contributed to open-source projects, published papers, or technical blogs
• Proven experience coding in Python or Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Hands-on experience managing the entire lifecycle of an application, from the first line of code to production deployment
• A portfolio or list of references that demonstrates your ability to build end-to-end software and integrate AI models into functional products
• Language skills: Fluent English

• Ability to lead multiple workloads with attention to detail
• Ability to solve and debug technical issues
• Ability to learn and adopt fast to new challenges and tech stacks
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders across the organization

Working from office is not required.
