On 4 January 2027, we are proud to launch our next STAR (Student Training and Rotation) Program at SAP Hungary.

SAP is building the Autonomous Enterprise — a future where AI agents execute critical business workflows, and people focus on innovation, customer value, and growth. At the heart of this vision is Joule, SAP's enterprise AI platform, embedded across finance, HR, supply chain, procurement, and beyond. With over 400 AI use cases already live across our applications and AI present in over 90% of our top deals, this is not a future ambition — it's happening right now. The STAR Program offers a wide range of possibilities to continuously broaden your knowledge and skills, and to pave the way for a thriving career. After completing your studies, you could consider employment in almost any area of the company — many of our graduates find their ideal roles in software development, AI-related services, product support, DevOps, or customer-facing consulting and pre-sales.

Important information about the structure of the program

At the beginning of the program, you will receive an intensive 3-week onboarding, including technical training in cloud technologies and software development methodology. In each following semester, 2–4 days of technical or soft skills training will be provided to enhance your knowledge.

Please note: During the full month of January, on-site presence in our Budapest office is mandatory to complete the onboarding successfully.

Your schedule: In your first semester, you will work a minimum of 16 hours per week; from the following semesters, a minimum of 20 hours per week is required.

How can you benefit from the program?

• Each semester, you'll rotate through different projects — gaining hands-on experience across software development, DevOps, cloud, and AI technologies, including agentic AI, Joule, and the SAP Business AI Platform.
• You'll work with technologies that are actively shaping enterprise AI globally — from Joule Studio (SAP's build environment for custom AI agents) to SAP Business Data Cloud and AI-powered ERP workflows.
• In July 2027, your work schedule will be full-time. In return, you'll have almost a month off in August 2027 (or pro-rated according to your actual schedule).
• You may also complete your required mandatory practice or thesis work under the umbrella of the STAR Program.

• Active studies in one of the following fields: Computer Science and IT-related faculties, Engineering, Business Informatics, Data Sciences, etc.
• Strong foundation in OOP in language-independent programming
• Fundamentals of SQL/DB
• Algorithms
• Solid analytical thinking
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work cross-functionally with different teams and colleagues
• Diligence and social thinking
• A curious and agile mindset, with a passion for learning and the resilience to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills, combined with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate ideas clearly and effectively
• A growing foundation in business acumen and emerging technologies — especially artificial intelligence and agentic AI — paired with a results-oriented approach and the courage to take initiative
