Responsible for a team of Sellers focused on selling a Sales Performance Management suite of products and solutions.

Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with SAP's customers, prospective customers, and partners, fostering trust and appreciation to ensure customer satisfaction.

Identifies opportunities and generates demand for products/solutions where SAP’s capabilities address a customer's business need.

Supports efforts to ensure solutions are adopted and value is realized. Responsible for the continuity and expansion of the customer's ongoing business with SAP.

Focused on named existing and/or prospective accounts. Maintains customer relationships and influences customer requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

As a people manager, you are responsible for supporting not only your direct reports but also all employees within the larger team you are part of by helping identify development opportunities and supporting team members in achieving their goals. Know your extended team members and share insights with peer managers to enhance coaching, recognition, and immediate feedback for better team development.

The primary purpose of the Solution Sales Manager is to lead, manage, coach, and develop a team of Solution Sales Executives to meet revenue and profitability targets, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This is accomplished by leveraging management skills, relevant processes, and training to achieve all sales and quality targets in line with the business objectives. The position also serves as the primary escalation point when necessary for Solution Sales activities:

  • Participates in recruiting, Performance Management, 1-to-1 training, and coaching of the Solution Sales Executives, emphasizing the value of developing others and inspiring commitment.
  • Manages the sales pipeline proactively to ensure a sense of purpose and confidence in achieving individual and group contributions to the established goals.
  • Participates in regular business review meetings or forecast calls
  • Provides feedback to Field Management on engagement level with Solution Sales Team
  • Assesses the overall performance of the team with respect to the goals/KPIs and its own revenue target
  • Works with marketing and field sales management to understand and implement initiatives with Solution Sales requirements.
  • Drives and coordinates with the field management team to develop pipeline, revenue, and demand management
  • Provides feedback on initiatives executed to enable continuous program improvement.

Experience & Language Requirements

  • Extensive sales experience with business applications and/or IT solutions; experience selling to CXOs
  • Collaborative style and ability to work in a networked organization with virtual teams
  • Proven track record of capturing and growing customer and market share in a profitable manner
  • 3-5 years' experience in sales and in sales management (Direct Sales)
  • Successful people management experience
  • Prior SAP team selling experience
  • Fluent in English

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields (Business / Engineering or Technology)

Professional Training & Certification

  • Completion of Sales Methodology training preferred

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 311200 - 529000(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
