What you'll do
As the manager of our Finance & Spend Management sales team for Consumer customers, you will be part of the Finance & Spend Management Leadership team, reporting to the Head of Finance & Spend Management Germany. You will be responsible for building and leading a team that sells SAP’s Finance and Procurement solutions as well as Cloud ERP in our Consumer industry customer segment.
The main success criteria are the achievement of the quarterly net booking targets and the continuous solution adoption to ensure our customer’s success.
Furthermore, the following tasks are a core component of this management function:
- Building effective relationships with executives at customer and partner organizations to expand our Services business and secure deal closures within the quarter
- Supporting each sales team member to ensure expected quarterly and annual sales objectives are met.
- Facilitating individual growth and development of sales team, setting objectives, performance standards and priorities, coaching and acting as role model on sales approaches.
- Develop demand generation activities for Finance, Procurement and Cloud ERP in the space of Consumer industry business to ensure a sufficient pipeline coverage across the entire Finance & Spend portfolio.
- Consequent pipeline management and forecasting to secure the quarterly bookings and adoption targets.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships across industry, the procurement and finance community, internal VAT (Virtual Account Team), development and support organizations, as well as other internal stakeholders, involving them on the early stages of sales cycle to drive expected revenue and customer satisfaction results.
- Effectively managing remote resources, dedicating quality time and leveraging company’s resources.
What you bring
- Distinctive network within the Consumer industry customer base, Market Unit SAP Germany, the SAP partner ecosystem and the corresponding SAP solution portfolio areas. Network within the SAP Germany Sector Consumer Industries is a plus.
- Pronounced teambuilding skills and ability to lead teams to high performance
- Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration or comparable course of studies. Master’s Degree or comparable Degree (e.g. Diploma) would be beneficial.
- Strong diplomatic and political skills
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken (min. C1 level)
Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience in SAP solutions and cloud sales, preferably in Solutions Sales Executive and Industry Account Executive roles
- Experience in sales leadership and personnel responsibility is a plus
- Experience in selling ERP or Finance and Procurement systems is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of SAP Finance and Spend solution portfolio
- Reliable SAP ecosystem relationships and strong partner led mentality
- Proven abilities on managing highly complex contract negotiations and applying risk-mitigation strategies to customer escalations
- Experience working in virtual teams in a highly competitive and fast-paced environment
- Sound and verifiable experience in building C-level relationships

As a Sales Manager (f/m/d) you will lead one of our four German Sales Teams. We are looking for a true leader with a strong sales background and who has demonstrated business acumen in previous roles. As people manager, you will be responsible for supporting the success of not only your direct reports, but the success of all employees within the larger team. You are a part of it by closely working with the extended German Finance & Spend Management Team as well as by helping to identify development opportunities and supporting team members to achieve their goals.
