What you`ll do:

As member of the Sustainability Processes and Solutions Team at SAP`s IT and Process Organization, you will play a critical role in executing SAP`s sustainability roadmap through the implementation of cutting-edge technology. At SAP we use our own software to achieve our sustainable goals of Zero Emissions, Zero Inequality and Zero Waste. This team assesses the demand of the lines of business, like Sustainability Controlling and Reporting, and matches it with SAP`s sustainability product portfolio, ensuring strategic and technological fit and smooth implementation.

  • Understand Line of Business demands, challenge requirements in terms of business value and priorize the backlog

  • Shape the future by defining business processes for the steering and reporting of greenhouse gas across Scope 1,2 and 3 (up- and downstream)

  • Define, co-develop, deliver, and support sustainability steering and reporting solutions based on business requirements, priorities, and performance constraints.

  • Assess solutions from SAP`s sustainability portfolio with an emphasis on carbon emissions data.

  • Understand technical dependencies and target architecture.

  • Show a high grade of motivation and in realizing solutions and processes in a new environment that is ready to be explored further.

What you bring:

  • Master’s degree or similar degree in computer science, engineering, business information technologies or related field; studies in sustainability or environmental science are a plus if you also bring a technology background

  • 8+ years work experience in technology consulting or development roles or related fields – ideally with a sustainability focus

  • Very good presentation skills, strategic thinking and confidence to act as trusted Business Partner, ability to pro-actively manage business requirements and delivery along the processes you define together with the Lines of Business,

  • Business process modelling, preferably with experience in SAP Signavio; specific understanding of sustainability controlling and reporting processes is also a plus.

  • ability to work closely with multiple teams in IT and development, to communicate data-driven requirements and product gaps

  • Good knowledge of SAP BTP, Management of SAP Cloud applications

  • Experience with SAP SAC, SAP Datasphere or SAP Data Intelligence is beneficial

  • Good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA; knowledge of SAP Business Network (Ariba, Concur or Fieldglass) or other SAP solutions is beneficial

  • Environmental Management: Knowledge of regulations, frameworks and systems for sustainability, e.g. EU Taxonomy and ESRS, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and carbon emissions calculation mechanisms is a plus.
