With the creation of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Federal Australian Agencies we’re building a high-performance team to guide major agencies through the how of ERP migration — with proven strategy, expert delivery, and scalable, lasting impact.

Initially, an 18-month transformation program, this high-profile, strategic initiative will be the successful candidate’s initial assignment, before transitioning into the broader Customer Success and Delivery area to extend the best practices and knowledge gained there.

Please note - This role is base in Canberra and given the role works with Australian Public Sector - Australian Citizens with the capability to secure and maintain government security clearance are preferred.

About the Role:
This is a role for a highly respected and senior resource with strong solution knowledge and deep implementation experience, capable of designing, driving and rationalising solutions to support customer outcomes. The Services Solutioning Architect is essential to translate customer expectations into a sellable and deliverable compelling proposal based on CS&D Portfolio and in close coordination with Subject Matter Experts and all Sales teams (Services Sales, Industry Account Executives and Solution Sales Specialists).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate the overall solution to meet the customer requirements, addressing solution and implementation approach, completing effort and cost estimates for the proposed solution, leveraging and coordinating input from subject matter experts as required. Formulate the solution details including timelines, approach, scope, risks and assumptions. Take into account various delivery options considering, scope, cost, quality and risk.

  • Contribute actively towards the development of Business Cases for clients

  • Work collaboratively with clients to solution and generate Rough Order of Magnitude estimates

  • Consolidation of all requirements and inputs from multiple SME’s into a single solution response, including completion of solutioning details in a Deal Sheet and Scope Document.

  • Align and engage all stakeholders required for Deal Execution – including Delivery, Risk, Bid Management, License and Commercial Finance.

  • Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the collation and overall design of the solution bid response or pro-active proposal.

  • Provide input to the services sales strategy for each opportunity, acting as part of the overall bid team.

  • Liaise and coordinate with other knowledgeable resources including Delivery, Practice Leads, other Solutioning Team members, Lines of Service and Industry experts as necessary to ensure delivery feasibility.

  • Engage with Adoption Solution Centre (ASC) as necessary where they are engaged to support the bid response.

  • Willingness to extend knowledge to other solution areas, especially the SAP cloud offerings, to a level satisfactory to support initial service solutioning for opportunities.

  • Ensure the effective positioning and usage of relevant Service Portfolio items in the solution.

  • Understand the RISE with SAP methodology for Cloud deployments.

  • Support and reflect relevant regional and global services strategies into the services deals.

  • Responsible for contribution of services solution content to the proposal response, including reviewing, writing, or editing, aligned with the proposal win themes.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for the cross selling of services.

  • Communication and handover of the solution design to the project delivery team, supporting the initial stage of project execution.

  • Participate in and support regional Solutioning community (knowledge share and contributions).

Experience:

  • The applicant should be highly experienced with at least 5 years implementation and have fully participated in multiple full cycle implementations. A thorough understanding of SAP project methodologies for Cloud is necessary.

  • The applicant should have experience in building Value Based business cases.

  • Applicant should have significant experience in project estimation methodologies.

  • Applicant should have significant exposure to the services sales process, and have been involved in successful services sales campaigns.

  • Ideally have deep experience in more than one functional solution area, with some broader knowledge of some other solution suite areas.

  • Ideally have knowledge of SAP’s Premium Engagement Services and Cloudify Services portfolio.
