Job Title: Senior User Experience Design Specialist

Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior User Experience Design Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to work on UX concepts for business applications.

Expectations and Tasks:

Ensure the relevance of designs and work closely with the application units within SAP CX. Expose concepts and designs to customers and end users for feedback. Involve in interaction design while being empathetic towards end-users. Define and communicate new application designs and interaction concepts or build upon and extend existing concepts. Abstract and generalize requirements to ensure relevance and scale of work. Broaden horizon on design methodologies, technologies, and upcoming trends.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:

• Propose innovative design solutions for features and functions defined by product teams;
• Create product specific UI guidelines;
• Propose UI Patterns and building blocks to solve detailed interaction problems;
• Transfer use case definitions into complete UI designs for complex products;
• Create high fidelity prototypes for demos and usability testing;
• Plan usability studies to test UI standard building blocks and pattern concepts and record formative data; and
• Design and usability testing tools including Figma, Sketch, Adobe and usertesting.com.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $117,656 - $200,200. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $133,700 - $227,500. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
