THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Executive to join the Supply Chain Management (SCM) sales team.
Leveraging the strength of SAP’s global SCM organization, this role is responsible for engaging customers and partners, while closely collaborating with Industry Field Sales to position and sell the value of SAP’s end-to-end Supply Chain Management solution portfolio.
The team acts as a market maker, identifying and qualifying new opportunities, building and advancing pipeline, managing negotiations, and successfully closing deals.
Sales engagements at SAP are highly collaborative. The Line of Business Sales Executive is part of a virtual account team, operating in a matrix environment together with Industry Sales, Presales, Business Development, and regional and global teams. This collaboration model is a key driver of success.
The role is supported by an extensive network of experts, including regional and global Business Development and Presales teams.
KEY EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
This position requires full ownership of go-to-market activities within an assigned territory. The successful candidate is expected to proactively manage the territory and execute all sales activities from early discovery through deal closure.
- Act as a core member of the Supply Chain sales team, delivering best-in-class results for the Market Unit by leveraging the broader SCM organization.
- Develop and maintain strong solution expertise across SAP Supply Chain solutions.
- Drive profitable revenue growth and ensure positive customer technology adoption.
- Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented, matrix-driven sales environment to deliver high-impact results.
- Ensure opportunities and workstreams are executed within scope and timelines, providing accurate and timely status reporting to regional leadership.
- Identify, propose, and implement continuous performance improvement initiatives.
PERSONAL SKILLS
- Strong organizational skills to manage complex sales engagements in a fast-changing and agile environment.
- Proven ability to own, drive, and execute the end-to-end sales cycle.
- Excellent internal and external communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate business value and solution differentiation.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills with customers and SAP partners to position the full SCM portfolio.
- Ability to foster collaboration across Presales, Business Development, and the extended SAP ecosystem to drive deal success.
- Solid competitive knowledge and the ability to clearly position SAP’s key differentiators against competitors.
- Consistent delivery against quarterly business targets, including forecasting and management reporting.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity to regional differences within the territory.
- Innovative mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to anticipate change and think outside the box in a fast-paced environment.
