About the Role

The Senior Program Manager, Global Partner Marketing is responsible for designing, orchestrating, and managing programs to support the marketing strategy for the SAP Concur & Amex GBT alliance. Reporting to the VP Partner Marketing at SAP Concur, this role will collaborate with internal and external Marketing, Product Marketing, and Partner Management stakeholders, driving programs to ensure effective Marketing planning and execution of plans, supporting the Rhythm of Business requirements, and serving as a key resource for the SAP Concur Marketing leadership team. The role will lead the effort to drive cross-functional alignment on plans, surface and lead projects to close identified gaps, and work with other program leads internally and externally to move the alliance strategy forward.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and resourceful with experience in program management and/or project management in the Software industry.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Drive program execution through formal project management, track and report on progress, define success criteria and goals, and employ governance models

Architect a clear and actionable plan to drive organizational alignment, prioritization and decisions to achieve program goals

Provide program oversight, lead large cross-functional team and engage stakeholders to drive program success

Identify critical path, anticipate issues/risks, develop mitigation plans, and remove roadblocks

Deliver clear, accurate, actionable and impartial communication about overall program status that stakeholders across the business can rely to make relevant business decisions.

Orchestrate marketing programming launch activities to enable go-to-market and customer success activities.

Help evolve processes and framework and share best practices for team’s continuous improvement efforts.

Education Experience & Training required:

Minimum of 7 years experience in program/project management.

4+ years Software and/or Software as a Service industry experience

Experience leading cross-functional teams, including Product Management, R&D, Sales, Marketing and other cross-functional groups.

Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree preferred

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills – ability to lead and motivate others without authority to drive initiatives to completion

Resourceful – leveraging all resources both internal and external to complete

Project and Program management – ability effectively drive and communicate status of cross-functional interdependencies required to deliver product readiness, including: offer approval, implementation and support readiness for launch, navigating legal requirements, and product launch preparation

Effective internal & external communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).

Self-motivated and Independent thinker, requiring minimal supervision for decision-making

Critical thinking and ability to challenge others on delivery while maintaining strong business relationships

Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Strong executive presence, able to escalate issues and manage executive leadership through resolution decision making

Experience managing Early Access and/or Beta programs a plus

Demonstrates focus on listening and empathy with diverse groups, and facilitates empathy in others

Conflict management expertise, able to navigate through disagreement to drive alignment within areas of influence.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 100000 - 216000 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
