About our team:

The SAP Concur Platform team delivers market-leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) travel and expense solutions that help organizations make smarter decisions, simplify employee travel, and manage spend with confidence. Our platform provides the foundation that partners and internal teams use to extend functionality and build experiences tailored to their business needs.

It’s an exciting time at SAP Concur. As a truly cloud-native architecture, launching a next-generation user interface, modernizing core applications to enable intelligent and automated spend, expanding our services, and publishing AI Agents and APIs that empower customers and partners to extend our platform with innovative travel and expense solutions.

The Role

As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the strategy and roadmap for a key area of the Concur Platform, driving outcomes that unlock scale for product teams, customers, and partners. You’ll operate comfortably in ambiguity—defining the “why,” aligning stakeholders on the “what,” and partnering closely with engineering and design on the “how.” In this role, you’ll shape platform primitives (APIs, services, and developer experiences) and help enable AI-powered and agentic workflows that elevate how travel and expense solutions are built and used.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end strategy and delivery for a platform product area across the full lifecycle, with accountability for outcomes, quality, cost, and adoption
  • Set platform vision and roadmap that balances customer/partner needs, internal product velocity, and architectural health
  • Lead discovery and define crisp problem statements, proto-types, success metrics, and MVP scope for the initiatives you own
  • Define and evolve platform primitives (APIs, services, data contracts, and logging) to enable extensibility for customers and partners
  • Drive developer experience improvements (documentation strategy, onboarding, sample apps) in partnership with engineering and enablement teams
  • Ensure successful delivery by partnering on technical design reviews, validation, and release readiness to confirm scope meets requirements
  • Design and launch platform capabilities that enable AI-powered and agentic experiences (e.g., workflow automation, intelligent recommendations, natural language interactions)
  • Partner with data/ML and engineering teams to define guardrails for AI agents, including evaluation, monitoring, privacy/security considerations, and human-in-the-loop controls
  • Use customer feedback, analytics, and partner insights to iterate; define measurable KPIs (adoption, latency, reliability, conversion, developer satisfaction) and report progress
  • Coordinate across product and engineering teams to plan releases and enable successful go-to-market execution
  • Influence across organizations and build strong, collaborative relationships that drive alignment, executive-level clarity, and results

What You Bring

  • Strong product management experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Ability to define strategy while staying close to execution, translating ambiguous problem spaces into practical solutions that deliver real outcomes
  • Solid technical understanding and the ability to work closely with engineering teams to diagnose issues, understand platform constraints, and navigate system dependencies
  • Strong platform product experience, including APIs/services, extensibility, and developer experience (DX)
  • Working knowledge of modern AI systems (e.g., LLMs, prompts, grounding, evaluation, and limitations) and the ability to translate those capabilities into real product use cases
  • Empathy for customers, service delivery, and support teams, with a willingness to dig into onboarding challenges, adoption issues, and real-world product friction
  • Experience operating in environments where products are live and evolving, balancing roadmap priorities with day-to-day problem solving and issue triage
  • Strong influence and stakeholder management skills, able to align multiple teams and drive decisions without direct authority
  • Experience working with platform products or APIs, coordinating capabilities that span multiple products and teams
  • A track record of owning high-impact products or initiatives and driving them from strategy through delivery and adoption
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a highly collaborative, agile environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong problem-solving abilities; ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority, align diverse stakeholders, and drive decisions with executive-ready clarity
  • Business English: fluent
