Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you’ll do

As an Enterprise Architect (f/m/d), you will develop and maintain a comprehensive end-to-end enterprise architecture vision for assigned customers, aligned with their business strategy and transformation goals. You will act as a trusted transformation partner for executive stakeholders and collaborate closely with account teams to drive value-driven architecture execution.

You will lead and support activities such as:

  • Guide customers through their enterprise and cloud transformation journey, from architecture vision to execution and realization, leveraging enterprise archetypes and scalable delivery models.
  • Provide enterprise architecture guidance based on SAP’s Reference Architecture Framework and Clean Core principles, ensuring customers fully benefit from SAP cloud qualities.
  • Act as a strategic advisor for CIOs and other CxO stakeholders, driving architecture effectiveness and decision-making.
  • Support solution adoption by identifying, mitigating, and governing architectural and technical risks across hybrid and cloud landscapes.
  • Drive value realization through solution adoption, capability consumption, and measurable KPIs aligned to customer business outcomes.
  • Consolidate customer expectations and business goals into a tangible enterprise-level success plan, tracking value drivers and KPIs using SAP’s value framework.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor ensuring secure, reliable, and extensible architectures for mission-critical business processes.
  • Establish effective architecture governance, engaging stakeholders across customer, partner, and SAP teams to ensure alignment on business goals, value drivers, and architectural standards.
  • Align customers and partners with SAP’s Clean Core strategy, accelerate BTP adoption, and promote SAP architectural best practices across solution areas.

What You Bring

  • Experience delivering enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives, aligning business strategy with target architecture and multi-year roadmaps.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP’s solution portfolio and the SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework, covering business, application, integration, data, and technology architecture.
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (application development, automation, integration, data & analytics, AI) and SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
  • Solid understanding of SAP cloud strategy and Clean Core principles, with experience using SAP LeanIX, SAP Signavio, SAP Cloud ALM or similar.
  • Knowledge of SAP Business AI roadmap and the ability to identify relevant use cases.
  • Experience with integration and extensibility concepts and advisory methodologies within SAP environments.
  • Familiarity with SAP’s value framework, including value drivers and business case creation (e.g., SAP Value Lifecycle Manager).

Must-Have Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, IT architecture, or related customer-facing roles, with responsibility for end-to-end architectural design in complex hybrid landscapes
(scope, portfolio size, and level of autonomy vary by seniority).
  • Strong knowledge of the SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework, SAP architecture toolchain, and BTP services.
  • Proficiency in Clean Core principles, integration, and extensibility best practices.
  • Technical and/or functional experience with SAP S/4HANA solutions.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills in English and German, including interaction with senior management and executives.
  • Mindset for strategic thinking, continuous learning, and strong business acumen.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Relevant certifications such as SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework (LeanIX), SAP Certified Professional – Enterprise Architect, TOGAF, or comparable credentials.
