We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join the SAP Datasphere. As part of this role, you will join the Analytic Model component, which is tasked with the design of models that are the analytical foundation for making data ready for consumption in SAP Analytics Cloud.
You will work autonomously on smaller projects while leading the development of complex features alongside other team members. We are looking for someone who is genuinely enthusiastic about analytical modeling, someone who doesn't just build features, but cares deeply about the product and the value it delivers to end users and businesses.
You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe, including other development teams and product management colleagues within the area. Our team primarily works with: TypeScript for front-end development using the SAP UI5 framework and Node.js for back-end development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise while developing a solid focus on ownership, product quality, and technical leadership.
What you'll build
- Lead the design, implementation, and quality assurance of product features within the Analytic Model component
- Drive projects from conception to completion, owning technical decisions and outcomes end-to-end
- Proactively identify inefficiencies, technical debt, and product gaps and take ownership to address them without waiting to be asked
- Mentor and guide other developers within the team, contributing to a culture of technical excellence
- Participate in architecture discussions, design sessions, and the full software development lifecycle
- Build proof-of-concepts (POCs) and research innovative solutions to advance the product
- Contribute to establishing and improving development processes and engineering standards within the team
- In this role, you will use your leadership and technical skills to improve product quality. You will work with and guide team members. It's important to share your ideas confidently and honestly, even when facing challenges.
What you bring
- We're looking for someone who takes endeavor, owns problems from end to end, and is genuinely energized by the product they work on. You have a proven track record of identifying inefficiencies and guiding them to resolution — you don't wait to be asked.
- Proven experience in full stack software development with solid proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript, other languages accepted if willing to switch
- Demonstrated ability to autonomously drive complex projects from conception to completion, owning technical decisions and outcomes
- Proven track record of proactively identifying inefficiencies, problems, and technical debt, and taking ownership to address them with a focus on the desired outcome
- Solid analytical and architectural skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into clean, scalable solutions
- Experience with UI5 frontend development or similar controller-based frameworks like Angular, Vue, or React
- Node.js back-end development experience
- Nice to have Database design knowledge and data modelling skills
- Advanced software quality assurance knowledge, including testing methodologies and tools (Cypress, Mocha, TestCafé or similar)
- Knowledge of Agile / LEAN methodologies and working in distributed global teams
- Proficient communication skills and an advanced level of English
- Experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar)
- Ability to write effective prompts to generate, refactor, or debug code
- Comprehension of when to trust vs. verify AI-generated output
