WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Working in operations team ensure timely and effective response to major incidents and crises.
- Coordinate with various teams to resolve incidents and restore normal service operations as quickly as possible.
- Perform root cause analysis for all major incidents. Develop and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks for databases, including backups, updates, and patch management, to ensure the stability and security.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle. Provide regular updates on incident status, impact, and resolution efforts.
- Continuously monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to maintain optimal functionality.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align operations with business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, security, and system availability
WHAT YOU BRING
- 8 - 12 years of work experience in technical operation of Infrastructure Platform Support, Service Management and Patch deployments
- Experience in DB installation, upgrade, planning, setup, and implementation.
- Experience in troubleshooting and performing in-depth root cause analysis of issues.
- Hands-on experience in Operating system administration
- Strong technical knowledge in DB security, backup and recovery, system copies, high availability and disaster recovery scenarios, and replication knowledge.
- Experience in Database implementation, deployments, and migrations from on-premises environments.
- Experience in vulnerability management, including configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
- Knowledge in performance troubleshooting and optimization at database level.
- Willingness to learn and own topics and share knowledge with the team and AI knowledge emhancements
- Capable of working in an international team environment

As part of Corporate Processes and Information Technology(CP&IT), IT Operations is SAP's platform provider and responsible for running SAP’s critical business applications. Within IT Operations, the service unit “Business Infrastructure Operations” (BIO) is responsible for 24x7 secure operations of important and critical SAP systems and applications embedded in an international delivery approach. BIO runs hybrid environment with various operating systems and databases on on-prem, IaaS on Public (Azure) and Private cloud Infrastructure. BIO works in close collaboration with SAP development and porting teams as a trusted partner to implement the latest and greatest product releases which serve as reference to SAP customers. The teams are distributed globally and located in Germany, India and Mexico.
