Summary & Role Information:

In this role you will be working in a cross-functional team that values trust, responsiveness, respect, and growth. You will play an integral part in enhancing and continuously improving the communication and feedback culture of the team. You will bring positive and proactive engagement, constructive input and drive to meet strategic goals of the organization through delivering high quality outcomes for SPG.

As a member of our development team, you will utilize your knowledge on full stack development, with a particular focus on backend, and enable the team members on BTP development and working with Hana and CAP.

What you'll do:

As part of the delivery team, you will:

  • Develop new features and maintain cloud native and legacy applications

  • Implement backend and frontend applications using Java, Javascript and Typescript

  • Implement server-side components using Java and Spring Framework

  • Create customer value through resolving support tickets and interacting directly with customers, when necessary

  • Analyze and troubleshoot applications through monitoring tools like Sentry and DynaTrace

  • Scan the components to find security vulnerabilities using tools like BlackDuck, CodeQL and SonarQube, and fix vulnerabilities according to SLAs

  • Enable the team to continue BTP development and effectively work with Hana and CAP

  • Contribute to positive team engagement, effective communication, and continuous improvement of the team to meet strategic goals

What you bring:

  • Proficiency in relevant tech stack and highly interactive user interfaces
  • Ability to build solutions from the scratch as well as work with improving or modularizing legacy code
  • An eye for good user experience and look, and the ability to turn UI designs into apps in close collaboration with designers
  • Experience with BTP development (ideally as application developer), Hana, CAP, and preferably DwC (Deploy with Confidence)
  • Knowledge on SAP Product Standards and the ability to maintain product standards during end-to-end development
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (or MS Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts and CI/CD
  • Experience with debugging and monitoring distributed systems with tools such as Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, and DynaTrace
  • Experience with database-related optimizations and data processing is a big plus
  • Familiarity with testing tools and test strategies, especially within SAP context
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skills
  • Ability to break down complex technical problems and contribute to solutions even during ambiguity
  • Ability to be a team player, work collaboratively, and contribute proactively to the team to create positive outcomes
  • Solid knowledge and experience building web services with Java and Spring Framework

The Modeling and Governance group (MxG) is one of five groups in the engineering department of the SAP Signavio unit. We value consistency, modularity & re-usability. Our teams deliver SAP Signavio core products such as the SAP Signavio Process Governance and Signavio Suite capabilities.
