What you'll build

You won't just be maintaining legacy code; you will be the architect of a high-performance Analytics Foundation for the SAP Business Network. Your work sits at the intersection of Big Data and Enterprise Microservices.

  • The Data Engine: You will oversee the transformation of massive transactional datasets into actionable insights using a Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold). This involves orchestrating Databricks and Spark pipelines to feed a high-scale Data Lake.
  • The Intelligence Layer: You will design and scale Java-based microservices (Spring Boot and SAP CAP) that federate requests across global data centers, providing real-time visibility into billions of dollars' worth of purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
  • The AI-Native Workflow: You will be a pioneer in our "Orchestration" model. Instead of manual boilerplate, you will build AI Agents and Skills (via Claude-code) to automate implementation, focusing your energy on high-level system design and robust technical guardrails.

What you bring

We aren't looking for a "task-picker"; we are looking for a Technical Leader with professional experience ranging between 7 to 14 years, who understands that code is a liability and design is an asset.

  • Architectural Rigor: You have a "Right First Time" mindset. You understand the deep principles of OOP and System Design, but you have the pragmatism to apply them where they fit, avoiding unnecessary complexity.
  • Expert Craftsmanship: You are a master of Java and the Spring ecosystem. You write clean, self-documenting code and believe that a feature is only "done" when it is covered by a bulletproof, automated E2E test suite.
  • Requirement Mastery: You have the ability to dive deep into complex feature specifications, identify edge cases before they become bugs, and translate business logic into precise technical requirements that both humans and AI can execute.
  • The "Nice to Haves": While your primary strength is in backend architecture and quality, experience with Databricks/Spark, SAP CAP/CDS, or Cloud-native infra (Kyma/K8s) will allow you to hit the ground running.
