What you build

• Provide technical leadership for maintaining existing batch job framework, including rearchitecting and implementing a modern solution using workflow tools such as Temporal.
• Drive the development and modernization of SQL server database migration tools to support migrations of thousands of databases.
• Improve monitoring and observability of batch jobs, making them more resilient and easier to troubleshoot.
• Set technical direction and best practices for scalable and reliable platform solutions.
• Mentor and guide engineers across the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Lead incident triage, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful platform initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure operational excellence

What you bring

• 7+ years of Java development experience (Spring or similar frameworks preferred), with a proven track record in large-scale SaaS environments.
• Experience architecting and leading the implementation of complex backend and batch processing systems.
• Excellent SQL skills and experience designing and optimizing large-scale database solutions.
• Experience with database migration tools such as Flyway is highly desirable.
• Understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, cloud infrastructure) and experience driving DevOps adoption.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Temporal, Airflow) at scale.
• Proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, and related cloud technologies.
• Experience leveraging AI tools for productivity improvements is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in high-traffic, mission-critical environments.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
• Good understanding of UI development (React, Angular, or similar) is a plus, but not required.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
