As a Developer / Senior Developer at SAP Concur, you will contribute to SAP’s vision by building and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable applications for our travel and expense management solutions.

Depending on your experience and role level, you will focus on hands-on development, solving increasingly complex technical problems, and—at senior levels—providing technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives and provide exceptional user experiences.

What You’ll Build

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain applications for SAP Concur’s travel and expense management solutions

  • Build and enhance features using:

    • Concur Core Tech Stack and extensions on BTP using Java / Kotlin / Go, or

    • Microsoft stack technologies (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC, WCF), depending on project needs

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code aligned with coding standards and best practices

  • Participate in code reviews; Senior Developers are expected to lead reviews and provide technical guidance

  • Investigate product issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions

  • Produce and maintain design and technical documentation for assigned features

  • Assess functionality requests for feasibility, complexity, and implementation approach

  • Collaborate closely with QA and cross-functional teams to ensure quality, test coverage, and timely delivery

  • Implement and maintain automated tests to improve software reliability

  • Participate in after-hours escalation or on-call procedures as required

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and practices

Additional responsibilities for Senior Developers:

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less-experienced developers

  • Contribute to architectural decisions and system optimization

  • Lead feature development or projects end-to-end

  • Act as a technical liaison across teams and stakeholders

  • Support workload planning and guide technical decision-making

What You Bring

For Developer:

  • 5 years of relevant software development experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience with Object-Oriented programming

  • At least 4+ year of recent experience with Java / Kotlin / Go / C# / VB.NET / .NET

  • Experience with web application development and web services

  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms

  • Familiarity with Git or other source control systems

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks

  • Good communication skills and strong collaboration mindset

For Senior Developer:

  • 8+ years of relevant software development experience with hands-on expertise in one or more of Java / Kotlin / Go / C# / .NET

  • Advanced knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles

  • Strong experience with database design and SQL. Experience leading technical discussions, code reviews, and mentoring

  • Ability to work independently on complex problems with minimal supervision

Nice to have (for both levels):

  • Experience with SOAP / REST web services

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

  • Exposure to travel, expense, or enterprise SaaS products
