Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you`ll do:

Lead the implementation of metrics, pipelines, and analytics that measure and improve the impact of our GenAI-powered, agentic CI/CD services. You will define KPIs, build reliable data assets, and deliver dashboards that help us to improve our tooling and in the end support database engineers to ship faster and safer.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Own the analytics roadmap for GenAI-assisted CI/CD: define KPIs (resolution time, code-proposal accuracy, cost impact, feedback/adoption) and complement DORA with diagnostic metrics.
  • Design, build, and operate data pipelines from CI/CD systems (Jenkins/Azure, GitHub, JaaS) into HANA models; publish datasets and dashboards in SAP SAC and Grafana.
  • Implement telemetry and guardrails for GenAI operations (hallucination/cost/latency metrics, SLAs) to ensure actionable observability.
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues; define data contracts and coordinate fixes with data owners.
  • Run analyses and experiments on model/workflow changes; provide evidence-based recommendations for rollout decisions.
  • Partner with Database Development stakeholders to integrate analytics into workflows and measure business impact.
  • Mentor peers on metrics design, statistical thinking, and dashboard craftsmanship.

What you bring:

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related field involving software engineering.
  • Strong experience and hands-on analytics for production systems (CI/CD, developer tooling, or platform services).
  • Strong SQL (SAP HANA Cloud preferred) and Python (pandas/NumPy); excellent data modeling skills.
  • Proven experience delivering SAC stories and/or Grafana dashboards (or similar) with alerts and drill-downs.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD telemetry and DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) KPIs; ability to go beyond DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) to isolate bottlenecks.
  • Familiarity with GenAI/LLM observability (hallucination, latency, cost) or strong interest to learn.
  • Demonstrated rigor in data quality and lineage (end to end traceability of data); ability to debug discrepancies across systems.
  • Clear communicator; fluent in English
