THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused team member to join the SAP Asia Pacific Cybersecurity Compliance Advisory team as a Cybersecurity Compliance Advisor. You will need to be comfortable with working independently, taking ownership as a subject matter expert and managing a steep learning curve in a dynamic environment.

The primary objective of the Asia Pacific Cybersecurity Compliance Advisory team is to work with our customers and advocate for them on security, privacy, and compliance topics including AI based on their business strategy. We aim to ensure our customers’ compliance concerns are met when they select, onboard, consume and renew SAP cloud solutions. We support the execution of Go-To-Market activities, and act as a trusted advisor to our customers and the SAP business, complemented by a focus on thought leadership and consolidation of expertise across the broad SAP Solution Portfolio and 3rd party solutions.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Security, privacy, and compliance is of paramount importance to our customers when investing in agentic applications, platforms and infrastructure in the Cloud.

The successful applicant will support sales and customer engagement teams as well as the SAP cloud business. They will work to build trust with customers and help them with their security, privacy, and compliance needs. The following are the key tasks required of this role:

  1. Serve as an advisor to key customer stakeholders on security, privacy, and compliance topics, establishing trust-based relationships and solving issues through active engagement and collaboration
  2. Answer customer queries and lead discussions, presentations, and workshops on SAP’s security, privacy, governance and compliance standards for both cloud and hybrid solutions including agentic AI
  3. Support the identification and management of regulatory and compliance risks related to the India market including contractual risk
  4. Coordinate closely with internal product security and compliance teams to act as subject matter expert facilitating compliance and managing customer escalations
  5. Educate SAP customers, partners, and internal teams on important security, privacy, and compliance aspects of SAP cloud including AI through regular interaction and creation of scalable digital assets.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Executive Presence – Must have business communication skills, comfortable presenting to C-level executives and board members
  • Cloud Competence – Strong technical knowledge of security and compliance considerations of cloud and hybrid environments
  • Lifelong Learner – Passion for self-development to gain in-depth understanding of the SAP security strategy and solution portfolio, regulatory requirements, industry trends, and executive presence
  • Business-grade fluency in written and spoken English language is essential and non-negotiable

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 9-12 years of experience in cyber security or related technical and compliance domains especially working with or in Public Sector and Regulated Industry
  • Broad knowledge of SAP solutions across the portfolio preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP Cloud security and compliance including agentic AI preferred
  • CISSP, CCSP, CRISC or other major cyber security-related certification preferred
