WHAT YOU'LL DO

Working in an agile framework, our IT team is emphasizing agility, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving. Beyond development, we help SAP win the right way by providing digital solutions and services to SAP’s internal business, with a strong finance focus.

As a Senior Application Engineer / Product Expert in our Finance Process & Solutions Excellence (FPSE) team, you will be a key player shaping the future of our global finance systems. Your mission is to balance groundbreaking innovation with rock-solid operational integrity by designing and implementing intelligent solutions for our end-to-end finance processes. You will focus on either the Record-to-Report (R2R) or Plan-to-Steer (P2S) domain, translating strategic vision into robust and scalable system designs that create measurable business value.

• Own the end-to-end solution design for strategic finance initiatives, architecting the solution from concept through implementation to align with business outcomes.
• Design and drive innovation for our finance landscape by creating next-generation solutions that embed AI and advanced automation to boost efficiency.
• Guarantee the operational excellence of our finance landscape. You will provide expert-level support, troubleshoot critical issues, and ensure rock-solid stability for both new and existing solutions within our agile framework.
• Serve as the critical bridge between business and technology, leveraging your mastery of finance processes to translate complex requirements into robust, intelligent Business AI solutions.

WHAT YOU BRING

• A proven track record of 8+ years in a techno-functional role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Senior Analyst, Consultant or Engineer) designing complex financial applications.
• Deep functional mastery of Record-to-Report (R2R) or Plan-to-Steer (P2S) processes, combined with hands-on SAP S/4HANA Cloud experience.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset to translate business needs into elegant technical solutions.
• Programming/development skills are a strong advantage, particularly in ABAP/ABAP OO, CDS Views, ABAP RAP, SAPUI5, oData, or BTP.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies, such as SAFe, Scrum or Kanban.

• A keen interest in applying AI/ML concepts, fluent English (mandatory), and beneficial German language skills.
