What you’ll build
- Design and integrate ecosystems of business applications, AI agents, extensions, workflows, and domain-specific services to ensure seamless interoperability across SAP S/4HANA, BTP, and customer-facing landscapes.
- Own the design and delivery of cloud-native SAP BTP and AI architectures, building production-ready components, extension services, event-driven integrations, and role-based experiences.
- Translate business requirements into scalable AI agent patterns such as retrieval-augmented workflows, tool-calling agents, and domain-grounded copilots for global engagements.
- Develop reusable platform components including vector stores, multitenant CAP services, integration APIs, governance layers, and operational toolchains to standardize AI-enabled solutions.
- Ensure compliance with SAP standards for security, privacy, auditability, and performance while implementing CI/CD, observability, automated testing, and incident response processes.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, developers, and customer-facing teams to align capabilities, resolve integration challenges, and drive consistent solution patterns.
- Communicate complex architecture concepts in clear business value terms for non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers through pairing, design reviews, and architectural guidance to improve quality and maintainability.
The role provides high-impact visibility, shaping enterprise-wide patterns and influencing how internal teams deliver services, with early access to SAP assets, APIs, and datasets to accelerate real solution development.
What you bring
- 5+ years designing cloud-native architecture on Azure/AWS/GCP
- Professional experience working with LLMs and respective APIs (OpenAI, Llama, etc.) as well as agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, crew.ai, n8n ) including basic understanding or experience with MCP and A2A standards
- Hands-on experience with modern API integration patterns, event-driven services, and microservices
- Strong experience in Node.js or Python or any other programming language
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with secure software development, automated testing, and observability
- Ability to translate complex technical designs into simple value‑focused explanations
Nice to have but not a must
- Exposure to SAP BTP, CAP, SAPUI5/Fiori, or HANA Cloud
- Experience designing or interpreting architecture diagrams (TAM/block/sequence)
- Experience with any enterprise platforms (SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday)
- Understanding of enterprise eventing systems (Kafka, EventBridge, or SAP Event Mesh)
- Prior experience with vector databases, embedding services, or agentic frameworks
- German language skills
