Shape the Future of AI-Driven Cloud Intelligence at SAP

Join SAP’s Data Intelligence team and work at the intersection of AI, Machine Learning, FinOps, Cloud Infrastructure, and Data Strategy.

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior AI & Data Scientist who thrives in complex data environments, enjoys connecting the dots across large-scale enterprise datasets, and wants to build intelligent systems that uncover insights previously invisible to the business. This is not a traditional reporting role.

You will help shape the future of FinOps for AI, anomaly detection, data products, and AI-powered cloud intelligence for one of the world’s largest cloud landscapes.

What you'll build

• You will design and deliver AI-powered data science solutions that drive smarter cloud and infrastructure decisions across SAP.
• You will build scalable machine learning, anomaly detection, and data intelligence capabilities by combining complex datasets into insights that were previously invisible.
• You will help shape SAP’s future in FinOps for AI, cloud analytics, and data products while influencing data strategy and technical direction across the team.
• You will mentor junior team members and help establish best practices for applied AI, machine learning, and scalable analytics.

What you bring

• You bring strong expertise in machine learning, AI, statistics, and large-scale data analytics with experience delivering enterprise-grade solutions.
• You have hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Databricks, cloud platforms, and modern data architectures.
• You understand hyperscaler or emerging cloud ecosystems — like AWS, Azure, GCP or Neo Clouds, GPU infrastructure, and modern AI/LLM platforms such as Anthropic — as well as the challenges around scalability, utilization, and FinOps for AI.
• You can translate complex business challenges into scalable data science solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.
• You combine technical depth with strategic thinking, ownership, curiosity, and a passion for innovation, with the ability to turn ideas into scalable concepts and confidently contribute your expertise in strategic and technical discussions.
