What You’ll Build
The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.
Position title: SAP Sustainability iXP Intern (f/m/d) - Business and Human Rights
Location: Walldorf, Germany
Internship duration: 6 months, starting in October 2026
In this role, you will directly impact SAP's efforts to advance human rights due diligence and Responsible AI governance globally by
- Supporting the implementation of human rights due diligence requirements under the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) and other human rights-related activities, including downstream due diligence
- Conducting research on human rights, sustainability, ESG, AI ethics, and related regulatory developments
- Support the setup, coordination, and execution of ethical assessments for ongoing AI projects across the company
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of Responsible AI governance through external best-practice research, process formalization, documentation, and governance enhancement initiatives
- Supporting updates to SAP's Global Artificial Intelligence Ethics Policy and Guiding Principles, helping ensure responsible AI development and deployment across the organization
- Preparing communication materials, training content, presentations, reports, and other documents for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management
- Supporting the organization, execution, and follow-up of global governance meetings with executive leadership, senior management, and external experts
- Draft and maintain governance documentation and presentations shared with stakeholders across the organization
- Providing project management support by coordinating activities, tracking deliverables, managing action items, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration
- Supporting stakeholder communication, reporting, and governance activities to drive effective implementation of human rights and Responsible AI programs
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
- Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences, preferably Masters
- Preferred fields of study: Sustainability Management, Human Rights & Ethics, Law, Business, Technology impact management, AI Ethics
- Computer skills: MS Office, AI knowledge (especially Generative AI & Agentic AI) is beneficial
- Language skills: Fluent in English, German as a plus
- Soft skills: Team player, strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement
