What you'll build

As the SAP Solution Advisor Expert, Supply Chain Management (f/m/d) with a focus on on Plan and/or Business Network, you will be the go-to person for any value, process, and solution topics within the sales team.
Your expertise in SAP Supply Chain Management will be instrumental in supporting the entire customer value journey — from discovery and opportunity identification to customer success with adoption and consumption.
In this role, you will advise customers in optimizing their supply chain processes and ensuring that SAP capabilities delivers maximum business value to our customers.

  • Enablement & differentiation: Lead customer events and deliver persuasive narratives that establish competitive differentiation.
  • Solution-specific expertise: Provide deep process and solution-specific knowledge in Supply Chain Planning and/or Supply Chain Business Network to support new sales cycles, drive adoption, and consumption for key customers.
  • Customized demonstrations: Deliver both standard and personalized demonstrations showcasing the innovation and efficiency of SAP’s Planning solutions, including SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain for Planning, and/or SAP Business Network for Supply Chain Collaboration.
  • Account team collaboration: Support Account Teams in delivering solution presentations tailored to customer requirements, identifying and qualifying new opportunities, and increasing adoption of SAP solutions.
  • Account qualification & strategy: Evaluate account qualification criteria for investment decisions and establish yourself as a thought leader within the account team to optimize strategy development.
  • Deal preparation and transition: Conduct rigorous dry runs for strategic deals and customer engagements while ensuring effective handover of projects to implementation partners or Services teams.
  • Ongoing customer engagement: Engage with customers to consistently pitch SAP’s Supply Chain solutions' vision, drive eagerness for renewal, and leverage digital assets such as demos and presentations throughout the customer journey.

What you bring

  • Professional software and IT experience: Demonstrated expertise with large software/IT organizations, preferably within a solution-specific segment.
  • SAP expertise and domain knowledge: Extensive SAP product experience with several years of relevant business process expertise in Supply Chain Management, especially in Supply Chain Planning and/or Supply Chain Business Network.
  • Knowledge of modern technologies: Proficient in Cloud, Hosted Services, and Software as a Service (SaaS)/Platform as a Service (PaaS) models, specifically in Business-to-Business environments.
  • Industry recognition and expertise: Recognized as a solutions, Line of Business, or Industry expert across SAP with a proven track record of success in Supply Chain Management.
  • Customer-focused storytelling: Skilled at creating compelling narratives and strategic themes to enhance customer interactions and engagement.
  • Customer-centric problem solving: Ability to rapidly understand customer business goals and ensure they are integrated into recommended solutions.
  • Language proficiency and energy: Full working proficiency in German and Business English with a passion and enthusiasm for all customer engagements.

  • The Solution Advisory department for Supply Chain Management of SAP Germany supports all sales units of SAP Germany with strong expertise of SAP´s Supply Chain Management solution portfolio along Design to Operate. The team creates future demand for our solutions and creates professional demonstration, explanation, and value proposition of those solutions to our customers and prospects.
  • With our competences and our know-how in SAP’s Supply Chain Management solutions, we explore problems and challenges of our customers and provide the best possible solution capabilities. In this phase, as Solution Advisory we take over planning and coordination of activities with which we convince the customer of our solution focusing always on the added value for our customers to be able address customer’s business and IT units even more efficiently.
  • Customer Advocate: Collaborate to complement solution expertise and support customers in their business transformation.
  • Implementation Partner/Customer Services & Delivery: Efficiently transition customer engagement for successful deployment and realization of solution value.
  • SAP Account Teams: Share best practices and collaborate on providing solutions and services support across the entire customer journey.
