What You’ll Build


The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.


Position title: SAP iXp Intern (f/m/d) - Services Industries Strategy & GTM
Location: Walldorf, Germany
Internship duration: Min 6 months


What You’ll Bring


We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field. This role is intended as a compulsory or voluntary internship of at least 6 months (ideally 12 months), on a full-time basis.
  • Experience & Competencies: You bring a strong drive for results and the ability to work independently with minimal direction. You are intellectually curious, eager to explore and apply new tools, methodologies, and AI-powered approaches to solve business challenges. You think critically, synthesize complex information, and communicate findings clearly to senior audiences. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment round out your profile.
  • Language Requirements: Written and verbal fluency in English is required. German language skills are a plus.
  • Working from the office in Walldorf is required three times per week. If you are applying from outside the area, please mention your relocation plans or preferences in your CV (Relocation costs are not reimbursed by the manager/employer)

Where You Belong


In this role, you will work directly with the SVP Services and Financial Services Industries within SAP’s Industry Business Unit (IBU) organization, gaining first-hand exposure to how SAP defines, executes, and scales its go-to-market (GTM) strategy across key service-centric industries globally. A key focus area is GTM for Industry AI initiatives. You will have a unique opportunity to learn from senior leaders, contribute to strategic initiatives, and gain exposure to executive decision-making processes within a global organization.


What you will do:

  • GTM Initiative Execution: Support the execution of industry go-to-market initiatives in close collaboration with the SVP Services and Financial Services Industries. This includes tracking the progress of key priorities, coordinating cross-functional contributions, and ensuring the timely delivery of strategic workstreams across the IBU.
  • Meeting Representation & Project Coordination: Attend relevant internal and external meetings to gain exposure to industry strategy discussions and leadership interactions. Capture key takeaways, support follow-up activities, and help coordinate action items across stakeholders while building strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Industry Reporting & Analysis: Develop and maintain regular reporting on industry pipeline, market trends, and key performance indicators. Proactively leverage available AI tools and data resources to enhance the quality, speed, and depth of analysis, delivering insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Meeting Preparation & Follow-Up: Prepare high-quality briefings, agendas, and supporting materials such as presentations or demos for executive-level meetings. Ensure effective follow-up by capturing decisions, tracking open items, and communicating outcomes to relevant stakeholders in a timely and structured manner.
