Position Overview:

As the Global Partner Marketing leader for Software Partners, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive partner marketing strategy with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). The leader will work directly with leaders across SAP to drive engagement and accelerate SAP and partner pipeline growth and lead a team to achieve revenue growth through ISV partnerships

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a deep understanding of the ISV ecosystem, global partner ecosystems, and digital marketing strategies. This leadership role will drive the development of global marketing initiatives aimed at strengthening SAP's relationships with ISV partners, expanding market reach via the SAP marketplace, and driving mutual success. The leader will collaborate closely with partners as well as internal cross-functional teams including, Partner Ecosystem Success (PES), regional partner sales, field and global marketing stakeholders across industry, solutions ,and platform areas to support the growth of our Software Partner solution portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership and Vision:
    • Lead the development and execution of the global ISV partner marketing strategy to grow SAP’s presence and influence in the ISV ecosystem.
    • Identify new market opportunities and define innovative marketing strategies to enhance SAP’s value proposition to ISVs and accelerate mutual growth.
    • Design and implement marketing strategies and campaigns to drive demand of partner applications via the SAP marketplace.
  • Global Partner Engagement and Relationship Building:
    • Work directly with ISV partners to co-create marketing programs and campaigns that maximize their success with SAP solutions.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive go-to-market campaigns targeting ISVs to increase adoption of SAP solutions, drive joint product offerings, and expand the reach of SAP's partner ecosystem.
    • Leverage data and market insights to continuously refine and optimize marketing programs
  • Strategic Roadmap Development:
    • Define and implement the roadmap for business strategy inputs to optimize co-sell motions, including commerce initiatives.
  • Thought Leadership:
    • Represent the company as a partner marketing leader in industry forums, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global partner marketing team to deliver exceptional results and foster professional growth. Ensure team alignment with SAP’s corporate goals while promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Metrics and ROI Management:
    • Establish clear KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of partner marketing initiatives.
    • Optimize marketing development funds and marketing program spend and resources.
    • Report regularly to senior leadership on the status, performance, and ROI of marketing programs and initiatives.
  • Budget Management and Resource Allocation:
    • Own the global partner marketing budget and development funds program for ISV’s, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to high-impact initiatives.
    • Demonstrate a data-driven approach to prioritize investments that will drive the greatest business impact with ISV partners

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of marketing and leadership experience, with a focus on partner marketing, channel marketing, or ecosystem development.
    • 5+ years experience on driving successful Marketplace strategies, scale demand gen via commercial transactions using advancing business models such as cloud revenue commits and discount programs
    • Proven track record of leading successful global marketing programs in collaboration with strategic partners (preferably ISVs) at the executive level.
    • Strong understanding of SAP’s products, cloud offerings, and digital transformation initiatives, or a willingness to learn
    • Leadership and Management Skills:
      • Ability to lead and inspire a global, cross-functional team and drive results in a matrixed environment.
      • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Other Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and insights to drive decisions.
    • Experience with digital marketing, content marketing, demand generation, and account-based marketing.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $129,900-$299,500 CAD CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
