TEAM OVERVIEW

The role of the Integrated Marketing team is to create a best-in-class, digital-first organization for SAP to increase the effectiveness, scale, and agility of SAP’s digital ecosystem. As the central conductors, the role of the Integrated Marketing team within SAP’s Global Marketing organization is to deliver across the entire customer journey connecting awareness, demand, adoption, and moments to unify program and campaign functions to drive connected marketing plans. Our end-to-end marketing programs bridge customer need to SAP cloud revenue aligned to growth priorities and objectives, and extend impact through Field, Partner, and Sales activation. This Account Based Marketing Program Lead role will work in close partnership with teams and leaders in Product Marketing, Global Marketing, Field Marketing and Customer Success to drive growth across SAP’s portfolio of offerings. THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Account Based Marketing (ABM) Professional to lead our global ABM initiatives. This role is critical in driving growth across our installed base customers by orchestrating targeted, high-impact marketing programs designed to penetrate complex, large organizations. You will work closely with global, field, and product marketing, customer success, and executive leadership to deliver personalized 1:few, 1:1, and deal pursuit strategies that yield measurable business outcomes. This senior marketing strategy role plans and runs global marketing programs to deliver business results.

PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy Development

  • Define and execute the global ABM strategy, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders and corporate objectives.

  • Develop tailored marketing plans for 1:few and 1:1 programs targeting specific accounts or clusters based on engagement, industry, geography, or business needs.

  • Lead deal pursuit marketing efforts to support high-value, strategic sales opportunities.

  • Translates high-level marketing goals into actionable plans and orchestrates across multiple teams to drive omni-channel execution.

Program Execution

  • Collaborate with marketing, sales and account teams to identify target accounts and personas, understand key business challenges, and craft compelling value propositions.

  • Deliver multi-channel, personalized campaigns, leveraging digital, events, content, and other channels to engage decision-makers and influencers.

  • Develop high-impact account insights and thought leadership assets to support deal pursuit efforts.

  • Orchestrate the go-to-market efforts with a broader virtual team to ensure channel teams, content teams, and functional experts can build aligned plans to achieve demand objectives.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with global sales teams, account managers, and regional marketing teams to ensure ABM programs meet local and global business needs.

  • Act as a bridge between marketing and sales, driving alignment and collaboration across functions.

  • Influence senior leadership and key stakeholders, articulating the value of ABM and securing buy-in for initiatives.

Measurement and Optimization

  • Define success metrics for ABM programs, track performance, and provide insights for continuous improvement.

  • Ensure rigorous measurement of ABM impact on pipeline growth, deal acceleration, and revenue generation.

  • Supports the Integrated Marketing Lead on business reviews to report on performance and impact against marketing metrics and required optimizations to achieve business targets.

EXPERIENCE & KEY SKILLS

  • 8-10 years of experience in B2B, high-tech marketing, with a minimum of 5 years in ABM roles in large, global organizations.

  • Proven track record of executing ABM strategies targeting complex, enterprise-level accounts.

  • Strong understanding of 1:few, 1:1, and deal pursuit marketing methodologies and best practices.

  • Experience in industries requiring long sales cycles and sophisticated solutions.

  • Proficiency with ABM platforms and tools (e.g. 6Sense, Marketo etc.).

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels of the organization.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.

  • Global perspective and experience working across different regions and cultures.

  • Knowledge of advanced marketing technologies, AI, and personalization tools.

  • Experience leading cross-functional, international teams.

  • Background in sales or deep collaboration with sales organizations.

  • Excellent with marketing strategy and planning for marketing programs.

  • Experience successfully orchestrating and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to think and work strategically and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable preparing for and presenting to executives.

  • Experience in collaborating with functional experts and agencies on the development of digital experiences and content.

  • Must have working familiarity with multiple digital channels and their applicability within a demand generation plan.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $129,900 - $299,500(CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
