Position title: SAP Datasphere Analytic Model iXp Intern- Software Developer

Location: São Leopoldo, RS [hybrid position, 3 days per week working from the office]

We are looking for a Developer Intern to join the SAP Datasphere team, one of the most instrumental teams within Business Data Cloud.As part of this role, you will join the Analytic Model component, which is responsible for the design of models that are the analytical foundation for making data ready for consumption in SAP Analytics Cloud. They allow you to create and define multi-dimensional models to provide data for analytical purposes to answer different business questions.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, including analyzing business requirements, modeling, designing, implementing, and testing solutions, all while following SAP’s quality standards

You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe, including other development teams and product management colleagues within the SAP BDC&I Modeling area. Our team primarily works with: TypeScript for front-end development using the SAP UI5 framework Node.js for back-end development. In this position, you will have the chance to strengthen your coding skills while developing a strong focus on quality, collaboration, and continuous learning.

What you will learn:

• Cloud-based software engineering and software development methodologies
• Develop in node.js, TypeScript, SAPUI5 and HANA
• Testing tools such Cypress, Mocha and TestCafé
• Process and data modelling
• Data warehousing concepts

* Previous experience in any of these topics is a plus.

You will collaborate closely with Architects, Product Managers, UX Designers, and QA Engineers to:

• Develop features for the SAP Datasphere product in the context of Analytic Modeling
• Participate in designing, coding, testing, and ensuring the quality of product feature
• Assist in building proof-of-concepts (POCs) and researching innovative solutions
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle, including design sessions, defining functional requirements, working with development teams, and testing

• Knowledge or experience in software development
• Analytical and architectural skills
• Understanding of software quality assurance and testing methodologies
• Familiarity with Agile methodologie
• Strong communication skills and an advanced level of English
• Willingness to quickly learn new areas, and work on both development and support-
• Previous experience with TypeScript/Javascript
• Experience with UI5 frontend development or similar conotroller based frameworks like Angular, Vue
• Nodejs backend development
• Dabase schema design
• Experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar)
• Ability to write effective prompts to generate, refactor, or debug code
• Understanding of when to trust vs. verify AI-generated output
