You will be responsible for all sales activities in dedicated verticals and lead an experienced and highly motivated team. This role requires a proven track record in software/cloud sales, excellent people management skills, and a solid understanding of market trends and challenges.

  • Work closely with the management team, as well as marketing and demand generation teams, to develop and execute the go-to-market, territory, and growth plan, covering different industries, customer segments, and channel business.
  • Ensure outstanding execution throughout sales cycles, adhering to SAP’s sales methodologies and processes, and defining clear territory engagement guidelines.
  • Support each sales team member to meet quarterly and annual sales targets and ensure that the team delivers quarterly sales targets based on a strong rolling four quarters pipeline.
  • Monitor and take necessary measures, such as industry-specific demand generation activities, to ensure an adequate pipeline of opportunities and proper pipeline management.
  • Develop and ensure industry-specific strategies and account planning for sustainable growth within the given industry cluster.
  • Establish and maintain accurate, timely, and documented sales revenue forecasting procedures, providing required updates to SAP executive management.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across the industry and beyond the SAP Concur organization, involving them early in the sales cycle to drive expected revenue and customer satisfaction results.
  • Build effective executive relationships with key customers and partners to stay current on issues impacting business and sales, providing meaningful strategic advice to retain and grow their business through integrated solutions.
  • Facilitate alignment and effective communication within the sales team and with key partners/customers to resolve conflicts and encourage productive interaction.
  • Facilitate individual growth and development of the sales team, setting objectives, performance standards, and priorities, coaching, and acting as a role model on sales approaches.
  • Effectively manage remote resources, dedicating quality time and leveraging the company’s resources.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or comparable experience. A Master’s Degree or comparable degree (e.g., Diploma) would be beneficial.
  • Strong diplomatic and political skills.
  • Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken (C1 level).
  • Distinctive network within Market Unit SAP Germany and the corresponding areas, ideally solution know-how within the finance and/or procurement area.
  • Pronounced team-building skills.

Work experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in a (cloud) sales role with a proven success track record driving large, complex, international sales cycles.
  • Successful people management experience in software sales.
  • Profound experience in strategic and consultative sales, with the ability and credibility to engage the client’s “C-Suite,” winning their trust and consequent business.
  • Experience in SAP product sales is a plus.
  • Reliable SAP ecosystem relationships.
  • Strong partner-led mentality.
  • Proven abilities in managing highly complex contract negotiations and applying risk-mitigation strategies to customer escalations.
