What you’ll do
As a SAP Business Network (SBN) Principal Consultant is responsible for delivering sound, high quality SBN solution deployments on time and within budget. The Principal Consultants are focused on the rapid transformation of client organizations into world-class managers of Supply Chain Management Solutions that create sustainable bottom-line results.
Customer Focus
- Understand customer problems and anticipate their needs.
- Apply knowledge of customer’s business across multiple domains and industry to assess findings, influence opinions and shape solutions.
- Leads customers and/or collaborate with partners across geographies through the lifecycle of SBN solution implementation (preparation, conception, realization and go-live)
- Lead functional scope definition and design, guide customers to adopt AI enabled leading practice for SBN solutions, in particular, Supply Chain Collaboration, and Logistics.
- Plans and manages project tasks and resources to ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards to achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Perform feasibility studies and process design reviews, conduct project assessments, support pre-sales activities.
- Manage customer and/or partner relationships and leads escalation management.
- Recognizes the service needs associated with a client-focused business model.
- Makes the client successful within the realm and scope of the Statement of Work (SOW).
Practice Development
- Refine existing or develop new intellectual property and methodology, frameworks and tools (e.g., questionnaires, presentations, implementation methodology, performance management) based on project experience, research, and analysis.
- Actively contributes to knowledge capital.
- Builds solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at SAP and externally at the client)
What you bring
- 10+ years of SAP Material Management(MM) and/or Transportation Management(TM) with at least 3 full cycle SAP MM and TM implementations
- Planning & Forecasting (MM, PP)
- Demand and supply planning
- S&OP, Demand Management, MRP
- Reorder Point Planning
- Supplier managed inventory management (MM)
- Direct Materials Procurement (MM)
- Standard
- Scheduling Agreement/ Releases
- Subcontracting/ Contract Manufacturing

- Invoice management
- Quality management (QM)
- Warehouse and Transportation Management (EWM/ LES)
- SAP TM, S4 Logistics execution
- Understanding of ERP integration and B2B standards
- 5+ years consulting experience with “Big 4” or comparable global SI in a team lead or manager role
- Experience serving as design authority or solution lead on large global programs
- Proven ability to influence executives and guide organizations through complex transformation.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.

As a member of the SCC Field Consulting Team, the SCC Principal Consultant serves as SBN Solutions expert in a multi-disciplinary role, in application functionality, technical requirements, as well as services delivery. He/or she is applies SBN deployment methodology, guiding customers towards leading practice within the scope of the Statement of Work (SOW). Principal Consultants can work on all aspects of the implementation process including participation in the sales process in developing scope of work and requirements gathering, managing the client and partner relationship, project management, and coordinating technical resources.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 151900 - 258300(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
