What you`ll build

We are seeking an Expert-level Product Manager to lead the strategy, adoption, and evolution of Hyperspace Platform Foundation — the foundational platform powering SAP's internal developer experience, engineering data hub, and AI-native delivery capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, developer experience, compliance automation, identity & access, and applied AI. You will be responsible for defining product vision, prioritizing investments, and driving adoption of platform capabilities across SAP's entire engineering organization.

You will work closely with platform engineers, architects, compliance specialists, security and identity experts, AI engineers, and engineering leaders across SAP to bring foundational platform capabilities from concept to broad organizational adoption — and to make the Hyperspace paved road the obvious, frictionless choice for every SAP product team.

As a Product Manager you will:

Product Strategy & Vision:

  • Define and maintain the product vision, strategy for one or more Platform Foundation capability areas.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities to leverage AI, agent technologies, MCP integrations, and automation to improve developer workflows, compliance processes, and platform self-service.
  • Drive long-term platform planning while balancing near-term delivery commitments across SAFe Program Increments.
  • Anticipate cross-ART impact and shape platform capabilities so they extend the Hyperspace paved road rather than fragment it.

Internal Customer Engagement & Adoption:

  • Act as the voice of SAP developers, engineering leaders, and service providers within the Platform Foundation product team.
  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap progress, pilot outcomes, and key results contributions to senior leadership and stakeholders through structured updates, newsletters, and PI reviews.
  • Develop deep understanding of engineering workflows, pain points, and compliance challenges across SAP — through pilot programs, user interviews, and customer insight reports.
  • Drive adoption of new platform capabilities (and increase platform reach) through stakeholder communications, enablement, demonstrations, Portal news, training, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with AI engineers, technical leads, and Architects to shape the direction of AI-powered platform capabilities and agentic developer experiences.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, data-driven decision-making, and progress over perfection.

What you bring

Bring your ability to independently define requirements, run prototyping and pilot cycles, validate ideas with internal customers, and drive decisions grounded in data and user insights. You operate as the CEO of your product — biased to action, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of leading without formal authority across multiple Scrum teams, ARTs, and organizational boundaries.

  • Several years of product management experience delivering enterprise software, ideally in internal developer platforms, developer tooling or platform engineering.
  • AI/ML and the LLM ecosystem (agents, MCP, RAG, agent orchestration), or engineering data and compliance products — enough to engage with architects and engineers, read ADRs, and shape architectural trade-offs.
  • Track record of data-driven decision making — defining product metrics, instrumenting capabilities, and using adoption, satisfaction, and DORA data to drive iteration rather than guesswork.
  • Experience leading virtual teams and getting work done across reporting lines — across Scrum Teams, across ARTs, and across geographies (Bulgaria, France, Germany, India).
  • Ability to communicate with executive stakeholders and to translate fluently between business, technical, compliance, and AI-strategy audiences.
  • A genuine "AI way of working" mindset — you actively use AI to improve your own output, your team's processes, and the products you ship. You're equally comfortable using agentic tooling (Claude Code skills, MCP servers, AI-assisted PM workflows) and shaping the next generation of it.
  • Comfort with quality and compliance as first-class product concerns — ISO 9001, software supply chain compliance (OSS, SBOM), and security/identity requirements aren't constraints to work around; they're outcomes you deliver.
