What you build

Interested in building and running a high-productivity PaaS (Platform as a Service) for thousands of customers?

SAP’s Business Technology Platform is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering for managing and developing applications in the public cloud. It is based on open standards, such as Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes. It runs all around the world on many different data center technologies.

We are looking for a Platform Engineer for our Cloud Foundry Deployment team in Sofia who likes to collaborate and bring new ideas to the table.

• If you are interested in modern cloud technologies and want to work on challenging problems, then we are looking for you.
• As part of our team you will be working with modern technologies like Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes and Docker, as well as modern programming languages like Golang and Python.
• You will collaborate with teams all over the world in SAP and in the Open Source ecosystem, engineer robust and secure platform services, serve direct customer demand, as well as ensure your code is running reliably on the platform. If you are enthusiastic about learning new technologies, love to deeply analyse and understand software and have a goal-oriented and accurate style of working with good communication skills - join our team!

What you bring

• Expertise in software development with one or more programming languages (e.g. Golang, Python, Ruby, Java, or the like), understanding of the concepts, as well as the willingness to share and grow this knowledge
• Experience in working with Linux or macOS environments
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AliCloud, SAP Converged Cloud, or SAP Business Technology Platform) and container technologies (e.g. Cloud Foundry or Docker)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Concourse, or similar)
• Practice of modern software engineering including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and releasing
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related field
• Fluency in English
