PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES


The Head of People and Culture in South Korea is accountable for all people and culture topics in scope in South Korea, including strategy rollout, driving high employee engagement, creating a consistent, high-performance and growth culture environment. The Head of People & Culture in South Korea, leads as individual contributing, building a community across P&C colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of our People agenda, orchestrating global people and culture services, policies, and programs for local and regional adoption, positioning SAP as a top employer in the market and supporting its business growth.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS


• Drive local people and location strategies aligned with SAP’s global vision while addressing South Korea’s unique market dynamics.
• Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders, promoting synergy, transparency, and shared goals.
• Orchestrates all People & Culture functions and topics locally, to ensure alignment with business strategy and local and legal requirements.
• Cultivate and amplify a vibrant corporate culture rooted in our values. Promote employee engagement, cohesion, and a sense of belonging that aligns with SAP’s identity.
• Act as the primary liaison with social partners, government authorities, and compliance bodies, ensuring our practices meet local labor laws and standards. Steers conversations and engagement with Labor Union.
• Ensure all People & Culture initiatives, policies, policies and practices align with local regulations, maintaining operational excellence and mitigating risks. This can include executing on operational activities (i.e. coordinating local trainings for anti-harassment and anti-discrimination)
• Drive local leadership culture and development in line with SAP's global framework while serving as a member of the local Executive Leadership Team.
• Elevate SAP’s employer brand by leading internal and external communications, leveraging social media and other platforms to showcase our vibrant culture and attract top talent.
• Partners with multiple teams to foster health and safety environment.
• Manage escalations and implement compliant solutions to people- related challenges
• Role model our Growth Culture Behaviors (We win as one, we act with transparency, we embrace curiosity, we take charge), cultivating a respectful, inclusive and collaborative place across functions.
• Responsible for providing guidance and defining the best framework for LMC, and steering negotiations.

YOUR PROFILE


• A dynamic, proactive, inclusive leader with proven experience in HR, People Relations, well-versed in South Korea labor laws and social partner relations, preferably within the tech or multinational sectors.
• Has experience influencing without authority in a global and multicultural environment, creating collaborative environment.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to translate global objectives into impactful local practices.
• An excellent communicator and influencer, capable of building strong relationships across diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent in Korean and English, with a passion for creating an engaging and inclusive work environment.
• Loves using data insights for advising business and decision making
