Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

Purpose

The Strategic Account Lead owns the end-to-end success of SAP’s most critical and complex enterprise accounts. This role is responsible for shaping long-term account strategy, accelerating cloud transformation, and driving sustainable business growth through large, multi-year strategic deals. The position requires close collaboration with customer executives and SAP Global leadership to create differentiated, high-impact initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

include but are not limited to

• Build Customer-Centric Strategy:

Deeply understand customer business goals and industry dynamics, particularly for large, complex enterprise accounts; develop and execute long-term account strategies; manage C-level and executive relationships; align SAP’s end-to-end solutions portfolio to deliver measurable business value.

• Accelerate Cloud Transformation for Strategic Accounts:

Lead and accelerate cloud ERP and platform transformation initiatives for large, strategic customers, including complex conglomerates and regulated industries; position cloud adoption as a business transformation, not a technology migration.

• Drive Cloud Revenue Growth and Big Deals:

Expand SAP’s cloud footprint through renewals, retention, and expansion while building and closing large, multi-year strategic deals; manage complex pipelines and forecasts; create and execute “Big Deal” and “Big Bet” opportunities that drive sustainable long-term SAP growth.

• Create and Sustain Strategic Initiatives with SAP Global:

Work closely with SAP Global, Regional, and cross-board stakeholders to shape, launch, and sustain strategic initiatives for key accounts; act as a bridge between local customer needs and global SAP strategy to unlock differentiated offerings and investment support.

• Cross-Functional Leadership:

Lead and align virtual teams across sales, services, partners, product, and support organizations and ensure clear ownership, execution discipline, and accountability across the extended account team.

Accountability

• Full accountability for SAP’s business outcomes across assigned strategic accounts.

• Accountability for cloud transformation success, including stability, adoption, and value realization.

• Accountability for executive-level trust, governance, and escalation management.

• Accountability for large, complex deal execution and long-term growth.

• Accountability for risk identification, mitigation, and resolution across commercial, legal, and delivery domains.

Experience

• Strong consulting background or consulting-style experience, with the ability to analyze customer business challenges, shape transformation roadmaps, and provide structured, value-driven recommendations beyond product selling.

• Demonstrated expertise in consultative sales, including the ability to position technology as a strategic business enabler, manage long sales cycles, and align multiple stakeholders around a common transformation vision.

• Experience working closely with global and regional teams, including SAP Global, cross-board organizations, and international stakeholders, to co-create and execute strategic initiatives for large accounts.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior executives both internally and externally.

• Fluent in English, with the ability to conduct executive-level discussions, negotiations, and presentations with global stakeholders; Korean fluency required for local customer engagement.
