ROLE DESCRIPTION
Business Development Manager effectively executes new opportunities for growth within a target market for Cloud Solutions cross- industry and customer segment. Understand our competitive advantage and establish the key reasons for customers and prospects to leverage cloud deployment models and other innovative technologies to achieve strategic business objectives. Identify, foster and syndicate opportunities originating in a target market to the rest of SAP. Execute on investment opportunities. Ensure that business management processes are in place and that business development best practices are followed.
This role will operate specifically in the business area of SW Partner Business across EMEA and within the ISV Partner Sale organization. The SAP ISV offering is composed of Store and Solution Extension Partners. This is a strategic and growing business area representing a relevant share of the SAP Cloud booking and bringing complementing best in class solution to serve our customers end to end.
Within a Regional Team of 14 Partner Managers, under the leadership of the EMEA VP ISV Partners, the BDM will have to drive programs and orchestrate Demand Generation activities to develop related pipeline across all the Region.
Area 1: Identify and advocate new growth levers and value delivery opportunities. Develop customized business development offerings. Execute on the evaluation, negotiation and execution of new opportunities and business models. Execute on new initiatives that drive growth and new sources of demand.
Area 2: Responsible for the day-to-day execution of the approved growth plan, coordinating the transformation program work streams including: solutions and strategic industry growth plans.
Area 3: Support the development of business cases for new investment decisions through due diligence evaluations and other research activities. Responsible for providing the applicable data to operation steams to be consolidated into the monthly or quarterly reporting repositories/ dashboards.
This position is open to candidates residing in Europe.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 10 years’ experience in enterprise software sales, sales enablement industry operations, and corporate development.
- Experience in Cloud in the B2B environment.
- Excellent communication and advance negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated success in working in a matrix environment
- Fluency in English, any other language an asset.
- First experience with Solution Extension Partners
- Knowledge of cloud, Hosted Services, and SaaS/ PaaS models, cloud -based commerce/ business networks.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science required.
- MBA or advanced degree in related discipline preferred.
