What you’ll build

In this role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain backend application components for SAP Sales Cloud solutions, delivering scalable and maintainable services that enhance customer experience and drive business results.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing backend services using Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and MongoDB.
  • Building scalable and maintainable services based on business and technical requirements.
  • Designing and consuming RESTful APIs with proper validation, error handling, logging, and security practices.
  • Optimizing MongoDB schema design, queries, indexing, and performance.
  • Writing clean, efficient, reusable, and testable code following coding standards and design principles.
  • Performing unit testing using frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
  • Troubleshooting application issues, debugging defects, and supporting root cause analysis.
  • Collaborating with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, architects, and product/business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Supporting CI/CD activities, code reviews, build processes, and deployment readiness.
  • Exploring and contributing to AI-enabled backend services, LLM integrations, and automation workflows where applicable.

Your work will directly impact the development of best-in-class CRM solutions, enabling businesses to optimize sales processes, improve customer engagement, and achieve operational excellence.

What you bring

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Java 8+ with expertise in Streams, Lambda Expressions, Optional, Functional Interfaces, and Date/Time API.
    • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, design principles, and clean coding practices.
    • Experience in backend development using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
    • Good understanding of Microservices architecture and related design patterns.
    • Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including schema design, queries, indexing, and performance optimization.
    • Familiarity with version control tools like Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
    • Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Mindset and Soft Skills:
    • Growth mindset with a passion for learning and innovation.
    • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
    • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
    • 4–6 years of experience in backend development.
