About the team:


The P&E Controlling team is an integral part of Global Controlling and works in close collaboration with the Line of Businesses at SAP. We are proud to support SAP’s engineering board member Muhammad Alam and his leadership team in key controlling processes. Our expertise in business case evaluation, strategic steering, and rapid ad-hoc reporting significantly contributes to informed decision-making. Through these insights, we add value to our business partners' operations and help shape their strategic direction over the medium to long term.

What you’ll do:


Position title: iXp Intern (f/m/d): SAP Product & Engineering Controlling
Work Area: Finance
Location: Walldorf
Expected start date: December 1, 2025

In this role, you’ll:


be part of SAP’s Global Controlling Organization in the Board Area of Global Finance and Administration (GFA). Our team supports the engineering board area “SAP Product & Engineering” and board member Muhammad Alam in all financially relevant questions, challenges and tasks:

  • Budget planning, forecasting and closing
  • Business Partnering for SAPs engineering board area
  • Financial reporting & analytics and decision support
  • Governance, compliance & financial steering
  • Headcount and master data management
  • Supporting strategic initiatives with financial insights and scenario modelling
  • Driving process improvements and automation in planning and reporting cycles

Who you are:


You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences, preferably in the fields: Business Administration, Economics or a comparable field of study, ideally with focus on Finance/Controlling. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

What you bring additionally:

  • Having the following computer skills: strong MS-Office Skills (esp. Excel and Power Point); first experience in Controlling with SAP CO/FI is desirable
  • Language skills: English fluently both written and spoken, German at least B1
  • Soft skills: very high degree of own initiative and willingness to learn; strong ability for teamwork, distinct analytical thinking and accurate working attitude
  • First practical experiences in a Controlling/Finance related function is a plus
