The Head of Delivery SCM – Americas is a senior leader responsible for driving CS&D strategy in the AMERICAS Region of SAP’s SCM Delivery Unit and directly contributes to executing SAP’s goal to be #1 Cloud and Business AI company, while driving successful services transformation in accelerated way towards Adoption, delivery excellence, value realization, customer transformation and Cloud success.
This leader is responsible for ensuring that every customer in the AME region experiences a fast time to value, has a roadmap toward full use of their SAP SCM solution entitlement and meets Clean Core standards across their solution landscape. By leading the world‑class hub this Leader will elevate customer outcomes at scale through shared expertise, industry-leading methods, and a relentless focus on value unlocked by SAP’s AI-powered Business Suite.
Key priorities:
- Accelerate Cloud and Business AI success via strong Adoption & Consumption focus, expertise, content and delivery excellence within the SCM solution area in the region
- Define and execute a delivery strategy that puts outcomes and automated delivery first; provide greater efficiency and flexibility through AI-powered delivery units and a growing delivery partner network
- Ensure strong productivity via AI usage and capabilities building
- Shape and successfully execute the CS&D strategy in alignment with the SAP’s and BA strategy
- Accelerate workforce transformation and skills readiness at scale
The Head of Delivery SCM – Americas is a key member of the regional delivery leadership team, partnering closely with other L4, L3 senior leadership (Regional Heads, Global Solution Area Adoption Leadership, etc.) to define and execute joint GTM activities, adoption initiatives, and to ensure business success. In addition, this role builds strong relationships with Sales, Product Engineering, and the Partner Ecosystem to align go-to-market, delivery execution, and customer success.
This leader represents CS&D organization in customer interactions at C-Level, partner ecosystem, public events, and SAP-internal activities within the region and beyond.

The Head of Delivery SCM – Americas is responsible for the solution-area resources across SCM and contributes to the delivery strategy, standards, and operating model, executes and adapts these standards, ensuring consistency, scalability, and local relevance.
Responsibilities
- Catalyst for Delivery Strategy Execution: Lead the merger of teams with a structured OCM approach to ensure a smooth transition and refocus delivery on the modernized portfolio to accelerate adoption and Business AI success, efficiency, and outcomes.
- Customer Engagements: Act as a trusted advisor and sponsor on a key customer engagements, providing guidance through the intelligent enterprise journey and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and support.
- Partner Collaboration: Liaise top-to-top with SAP’s Global Strategic Services Partners to agree and execute strategies that provide greater flexibility to SAP’s services delivery approach and allow us to serve joint customers better. Work with ecosystem partners to increase quality of implementations, deployments, and overall usage of Cloud solutions.
- Cross-unit engagement: engage with the relevant counterparts across CS&D and other BAs to define and execute a feedback loop from customer engagements with lessons learned to improve services delivery execution.
- Organizational Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the teams and individuals comprising the Global Delivery Hub organization fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching and support to help team members achieve their goals and excel in their roles.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze and work towards the goal overachievement of all board area and CE&A key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of customer engagement, solution adoption (in particular AI) and partner engagement initiatives (in particular Clean Core). Monitor performance against targets, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
Key Competencies
- Customer Focus: strong focus on the customer and customer success outcomes.
- Customer Success Leadership: Track record of 7+ years of senior/executive leadership in Services/post-sales areas, leading a medium- to large-scale regional/global business units in a complex setup. Solid line and dotted line organization management manifested by high leadership trust score and employee engagement score. Fosters belonging, accountability, transparency and trust.
- Business Transformation: Track record of translating transformations and strategy into execution & measurable business success, with focus on services delivery towards customers success transformations and track record of significant delivery efficiencies.
- Business performance: ability deliver against financial and non-financial business goals.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proven experience in successfully leading cross functional teams without authority / in a matrix construct.
- Relevant and current experience in running a professional services organization in SAP environment. This must include SAP’s newer technologies.
- Solid knowledge of key SAP solutions and respective industry business process understanding.
- Regional exposure within the respective region and deep knowledge of the respective market from a business and cultural point-of-view.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
Other
Language: Fluency in English (German as needed), local languages may be an advantage.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent accreditation required; Master’s Degree or MBA Preferred.
Location: Position can be based in any office location in the Americas region.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
