Territory: Enterprise – Public Sector, NSW
Location: Sydney, NSW
Business Unit: SAP Australia and New Zealand
Role Type: Hunter & Farmer | HCM Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-performing, enterprise-grade sales professional with deep experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) to join SAP as a Senior Solutions Executive, owning the Enterprise, Public Sector patch for New South Wales.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, relationship-led sales environments and is passionate about helping large public sector organisations across the NSW Public Sector transform their workforce strategy through SAP SuccessFactors and SAP’s broader cloud portfolio.
You will be accountable for net-new customer acquisition, expansion within strategic accounts, and leading multi-threaded, long-cycle deals with C-suite and executive stakeholders. Success requires strong collaboration across SAP’s internal teams and partner ecosystem to deliver measurable, board-level outcomes for customers.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Customer Outcomes
- Lead strategic, consultative sales engagements that begin with the customer’s workforce and business strategy, mapping outcomes to SAP SuccessFactors architecture and value.
- Position HR transformation as a lever for productivity, compliance, safety, workforce availability, and long-term growth tailored to Enterprise Public Sector customers in NSW.
- Develop compelling, outcome-based value propositions for CHROs, CIOs, CFOs, COOs, and Boards.
Lead the Ecosystem
- Own and orchestrate the extended SAP account team, including presales, solution advisory, services, customer success, marketing, and strategic partners.
- Build and execute integrated account plans aligned to customer priorities and NSW market dynamics.
- Maintain deal momentum by proactively removing obstacles, managing risk, and aligning stakeholders through to close.
Required Experience
- Proven Hunter and Farmer experience with consistent top-tier performance in Enterprise cloud software sales.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, high-value deal cycles from discovery through negotiation and contract close.
- Strong experience selling to CxO and Board-level stakeholders, including investment cases, risk frameworks, and transformation roadmaps.
- Track record of effective co-selling with consulting and implementation partners while retaining accountability for customer outcomes.
- Familiarity with value-based and outcome-led selling methodologies.
- Solid understanding of HCM and payroll systems; SAP SuccessFactors experience is highly regarded.
Preferred Capabilities
- Customer-first mindset: You anchor every engagement in the customer’s strategy, not the product.
- General Manager mentality: You manage your territory as a business—balancing growth, relationships, and long-term value.
- Commercial acumen: Strong skills in pricing strategy, deal structuring, margin protection, and internal approvals.
- Executive presence: Clear, confident communication; your messaging stands up in executive forums and Board packs.
- Operational discipline: Accurate forecasting, rigorous pipeline management, and clear accountability.
- Collaborative leadership: You build trust quickly across customers, partners, and internal teams, and maintain it through transparent execution.
Success Metrics
- Achievement of New Annual Contract Value targets across the NSW Public Sector Patch.
- Sustained 4x qualified pipeline coverage.
- Strong partner engagement, satisfaction, and repeatable joint wins within the NSW ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise cloud sales with consistent quota attainment.
- Prior HCM or public sector experience – desired, but not critical.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Must have full Australian work rights and be able to operate effectively across NSW.
